they need a good spot up wing shooter....this is a good back up for gasol and he gives them a bit of speed..can they get somebody like jterry from houston or mario chalmers from heat to help them shoot from the outside..ive seen too many games where memphis ,like the bulls go on offensive droughts...

It's a good deal, but Memphis is going nowhere without a great wing scorer.

It's an okay deal for Brandan Wright. I think his time in Boston and Phoenix kind of exposed him as a "system" player for the Mavs. He had been unbelievable in the previous 2 seasons for Dallas, ranking near the top of the league in PER. He was the poster boy for stats geeks everywhere. Had he been given the opportunity to play out his final season in Dallas, he would've been able to command a much bigger salary in free agency.

But his time outside of Dallas exposed him a bit. I think that Rondo trade ended up costing Brandan Wright a lot of money. He could've gotten 32M/4 easy.
