I see what you're saying. I don't think the marketing aspect of everything was his reasoning to play where he has. I'm sure he's very conscious of his legacy and that's a huge factor in where he decides to go.

He does want to bring a title home to CLE, both for himself and for the record books. With a superstar like Lebron you can't throw out his awareness of his own greatness. At the same time, don't think he wanted to necessarily look proportionally bigger by playing in less prime-time locations. He wants that sweet spot between playing for a ring, and feeling like he's making history.

This is nonsense.

Miami was the best situation for him so he took it. Just like every player.

For some players that's the most money, for others its the best team and others its the location. Most its a combination of several factors.

No reason for a player that good to settle for being the best player on one franchise.
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.

That's not true. LeBron told me himself he Boston and LA were his #1a and 1b choices if they had had cap space... What, you can make stuff up but I can't?

LeBron obviously thought Wade was better than any player he could pair with in Chicago, New York or Cleveland, and that made his decision. In hindsight, if he signs with the Bulls, they might have won the title in 2011, but they also could have lost to the Spurs in 2013 with Rose out. And no way they win in 2012 with Rose and Noah both out. Wouldn't have won in 2014 either.

So in hindsight, he made the right decision to win titles (unless he wanted to sign for the MLE with SA in 2010). If he had played as well as Wade did in 2011, they would have won 3 titles.

2009-2012 I don't think he was going to the Spurs. They were no where near as hyped up as they are now.

Lebron's HGH clinic was in Miami thats why it was more beneficial for him to play there. See last season in Cleveland he got skinny and had to go back to his clinic in Miami for two weeks to get his Fix of HgH and he became huge again

LeBron is super aware of his legacy, probably more so than lot of the players. For him, I say its playing with strong cast + within wining organization + choosing weak conference (and division). I believe that never for a second he ever considered coming to the southwest division or western conference. Because he wants championships, and if not, at least guaranteed NBA finals appearance, and if not, easier road to the finals. Nothing wrong with that of course.

Greatest player in Heat franchise is still Dwyane Wade btw. LeBron is the best player Miami ever had, but Wade is the indisputable greatest.

you totally have no idea how HGH and simillar substances work.
It takes weeks to months after the first intake to have visible effects. You do not just get back there and bulk up per HGH in 2 Weeks.

wade + bosh = no ring
wade + lebron = no ring
bosh + lebron = no ring

lebron shouldnt be put on sucha big pedestal.. as far as im concerned those miami finals runs were brought to you by 3 amazing players not by lebrons magical hand..wade is the greatest heat player and lebron only has 2 rings after assembling multiple super teams.

This doesn't make any sense. Cleveland yes, Miami no. Don't re-write history. Up to that point, Wade had the better career, and Lebron was only perceived as slightly if at all a better player. Coming to Miami was the opposite of coming to a small pond. He couldn't have come to a bigger pond than by joining Wade. And I don't think he had any expectation coming to Miami that he was ever going to take Wade's throne as the greatest Heat player.

ok well, I'm speaking for logical individuals who are fans of game of basketball, and we believe as a collective that LeBron is the greatest Heat player ever, you can speak for whoever you're speaking for, I'm totally fine with that, it's just not the same group of people.

 Ok buddy. Not arguing that Wade all time is better than Lebron. But if Lebron wanted to pick a franchise to be the undisputed greatest, he went to the wrong franchise. Look at it from Lebron's perspective in 2010: Wade is his biggest rival in the east, who has had more success than him up to that point and is considered a god in Miami. You think he came there because it was as small pond? Because he thought it would be easy to take over the franchise? No. It was very clearly a sacrifice of being the undisputed greatest to play with a peer in order to win. The exact opposite of what you are implying.
