Remember the days when
Chris Paul was on the Hornets
LeBron was a OG Cav
Melo was on the Nuggets
Kidd was on the Nets
Pierce was the sole driving force of the Celtics
KG was on the Timberwolves
Kobe was the sole driving force of the Lakers
Pau was on the Grizzlies
Bosh was on the Raptors
Brandon Roy was on the Blazers
Durant was the sole driving force of the Thunder
Dwight was on the Magic
Wade was the sole driving force of the Heat
remember those days! I want them back! NOOOOOOW! Gimme gimme gimme
Now you have a 1 in 4 chance to predict the NBA Finals Champions before the preseason starts because the NBA has turned into a superteam joke. Where is the guts with superstar players anymore wanting to win one by themselves to create their legacy while also creating a even balance of power across the league where system, coaching and having 1 star leader meant the difference between winning and losing.
Umm..... how many of those guys actually won a ring in those situations? Any of them? I think that's why they're all teaming up. It's either super-teams or some smart team does the Pistons thing and realizes five quarters and a few dimes when used right are actually more valuable than a dollar and beat all the single star squads.

I think players will continue to average less and less minutes per game, and may be given more games off. Teams will fully utilize a 10-11 man rotation even in the playoffs.
AKME got to go

Agreed, we'll probably see more Grinnell style substitution patterns.
Both the Warriors & Bucks kept minutes to 31-32 mpg for their stars and less for everyone else.
Those two teams had the #1 & #2 defense in the league.
It's no coincidence. They were fast and covered more ground on defense than other teams.

Re: Predict the next NBA trend
The trend usually follows depending on who's the best player of the era that eventually leads to having the best team. So during the time of Shaq, most teams went big. And now that LBJ/Curry/Spurs start to dominate, most teams went small that emphasized on offensive efficiency in terms of getting high PPS possessions at limited time thru ultra ball/player movement with spacing.
Tweener C/PFs on frontcourt and having strictly Cs or strictly PFs players obsolete. Where they have defensive impact of Cs because of their length and ability to be a rim protector and having that mobility and skillset on offense to space the floor, create & facilitate.
Defensively, both frontcourt players allows you to alternately defend PnR and be rim protectors allowing you to always have a rim protector in the paint and good PnR defense. Offensively, overall ball and player movement would be a lot better in creating good looks at a rapid rate.
It's basically what Diaw and Iggy did during the finals on offense, but a more evolved form of it is also having the ability to be rim protectors. A really good example of these are Anthony Davis, Labiserie, Simmons and Towns.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

6'10 and taller point forwards. The kids who have grown up watching guys like Lebron and KD are gonna be heavily influenced by their games. Taller kids are gonna want to handle the ball and make plays.
