Others are getting more talk here, but I'm willing to bet in the long run none of these phenoms getting accolades here will be better than Myles Turner...14 points, 13 boards tonight on 6-8 shooting...hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential yet...

Not sure I'd say that. Turner is one of a few guys in this class I think will be all-stars. A number will be very good starters for years to come as well.

I'm skeptical of Okafor (good stats on an awful team, dubious attitude) and Porzingis (green light to shoot on a bad team, giving him inflated, inefficient scoring numbers), but Towns looks like the real deal.

Long-term, I'd rank them:

1. Towns
2. Turner
3. Porzingis
4. Okafor
5. Stein
6. Kaminsky

Towns? I'll take that bet easy.

I mean lets be real, it's obviously Towns and then everyone else by a large margin. KP has shown more flashes than anyone not named Towns and then there is a large clump of very impressive players (Turner among them).

Overall really awesome to see for the NBA. I think we were starting to experience a dearth of bigmen and this class seems to have them in Spades. This is definitely one of the most impressive rookie classes I've seen.

D'Angelo w/ 16, 5, and 5 including 4 steals and 1 block. Started the night off 1/7 but ended the game making 5/9

It was the first game this season Byron's let him close the game out since he's been coming off the bench!

I was ranking the lottery bigs (Lyles sucks too much to even warrant mentioning).

KAMINSKY? Lmao.

"Long term potential?" What kind of long-term potential does a non-athletic, stiff 3 point shooter with no defense have? His ceiling is a prime Steve Novak basically. You can find those type of guys off the street, YMCA's, Europe, etc.

Out of all the lottery picks, Kaminsky would be the one who probably wouldn't be a lottery pick in a redraft.

He was two missed shots away from shooting 50% from the field, your point?

Stop looking at box scores and watch the games. He played great and his playmaking ability is very good. The Magic would not have won without him- he hit a clutch 3 at the end of the game to take the lead.

I'm not even a Russell fan and I think he will be a huge bust... but he DID give you the facts- he clearly said that he started 1-7 and finished 5-9. Is that too much math? lol that is basically the stat that you said in your post......

Start watching games bruh.

Okafor was garbage tonight for the most part, though more engaged in terms of rebounding these last handful of games.

7/18 for 14 points / 9 rebounds / 3 blocks, but was -14 overall.

No point, adding context that wasn't originally provided so people didn't have to search for box scores. Don't be so sensitive.

Oh okay. Carry on then.

Nah, wasn't being too sensitive- just trying to protect my teams rookie, ya know? I was thinking you were trying to say he had a bad game because he shot 6/14

(1 + 5) / (7 + 9) = 6 / 16 = 37.5%

6 / 18 = 33.3%

It's totally not a big deal. I just added context to what was originally presented. Russell is a fine young player. But the original post didn't include a handful of details, that I filled in.
