It's why Lebron is in the MVP discussion every single season. Like or hate the person, the player is one of the all time greats.

LeBron did the same thing last year and Iggy won the MVP.

Stats don't mean anything in the Finals.

People just searching for new ways to hate on Curry. Guy says the fmvp trophy doesn't matter as long as the team wins it all. Gets called mentally weak.

You know what he should've done is shot the ball so much that his TS is 47% and not care as much whether the team wins or loses. That'll show the haters lol.

Regardless of how his stats look, if GSW close out this series he will have done what is needed to lead his team to back to back championships and fbe greatest regular season of all time. That will rightly place him up there with the all time greats IMO.

Curry understands this is a team game and can sit back and absorb the defensive attention and allow others to take shots when it works best for his team. That is something to be applauded, not mocked.

Hes already the GOAT all time shooter IMO and is undoubtedly the leader and key player on this all time great team.

If the Finals was a game of HORSE and the Warriors won, then yes maybe Steph gets the FMVP. But you can't overlook the impact of Draymond Green since the game of basketball is more than individual scoring. Green is 1st in points for his team, 1st in rebounds for this team, 1st in assists for his team, 1st in minutes played for his team, and 1st in steals for his team. That to me is more leading a team than a guy who only scores from shooting the 3ball. If a player only does one thing well but is the bottom in every other stat, then that guy is a ROLE player.

Wow, you really hate him, huh?

Mental week? because he doesn't need to FMVP award? That's funny. Curry has stated he doesn't need LB's throne....only wants the rings. IMO he has it right.

He is.

I'm not sure why other players can't be great without folks worrying that everyone has forgotten about Lebron's greatness.

Lebron is great....Curry is great...Lebron's been greater for longer....Let's all enjoy it.

I don't completely agree with the poster(I agree to same extent) who said that but when everyone says GOAT shooter and GOAT volume shooter you expect him to be tossing joints as much or more than say Kobe. People were saying he had the GOAT offensive regular season and he is averaging 16 points against a team with Kyrie and Kevin Love .
There is no playable injury I can think of that can justify this drop and this is what drops him among the greats even with the season he's had.

Curry claims he doesn’t care too much about that, though. “As long as it’s somebody from our team,”

Never call this guy a GOAT player ever again. The guy is so mentally weak.

This reminds me of all the random youtube videos where people comment "LeBron traveled" even when he isn't in the video.

Lol that's cause no one has put up dominating stats. I think people forget lebron hasn't been all that great in these finals either.

Okay you take Curry off GS and see where they would be

individual awards are mostly based on team success which i find unfair at least in some cases.

Not exactly shocking, he is the best player in the league. These finals are proving, while a great player, Curry is definitely not the best all-around player in the league.

Games like tonight is why I dont really care about stuff like this. Lebron has been blown out twice and now lost at home. He just put up 25/13/9 in a terrible game. Got most of his points when the game was already over. When are we going to start saying maybe Lebron is just putting up empty stats? If he was in the West all of his career im pretty sure that is how people would think

i know right

Curry is fully capable of dropping 30 in the next games but the dude's simply not the player that peak Jordan/LeBron were.

only 2 seasons with a championship and 1 game away from another and we're already saying curry peaked?

dude just broke his own record for 3s made in a season!!!
