Don't think he's the best.....but he definitely tries hard every year. Imagine what Morey would have done if he was the Boston GM :o

He is the most aggressive gm if not the best. He is my pick for #1.

(But he might be a little nba2k for some)
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

He doesn't have a vision at all for the Rockets, just playing musical chairs with these signings, that won't stick around for a season, season and a half.

He's been doing this for years and has kept them relevant for a while. He may be more an opportunist than a visionary, but he's a very good opportunist and I believe that is more important than having some grand plan. Anyone can have a plan, but making actual good moves is tough.

He should stick to video games so he can make all the crazy trades he desires. The Rockets will never be considered real contenders as long as this clown is in charge. Barkley was right about him.

Not bothered with this whole 'real contenders' thing. By some definition, there are only two real contenders, GSW and CLE, the rest 28 teams are all video games.

It's about taking odds, raising your risk profile, being creative and aggressive about your moves. If that means clown, he is certainly a very good clown loved by his fans!

Not necessarily the most accomplished, but I think he is the smartest GM in the league. Imagine if he was allowed to tank for multiple years prior to the harden deal and rebuild.

Morey throws sh*t to the wall and see what sticks. Houston is desirable with a good owner and there is no state income tax.

When I think of Bob Meyers, I think of a guy that inherited Steph Curry, had the 11th pick his first year, and the 7th his second. When I think of RC Buford, I think of a guy that inherited Tim Duncan.

You have to look at the situations that each GM is put into. Morey was never had a top 10 pick as the GM. His owner was never willing to let him tank. It is incredibly hard to build a contender in this league without a top 10 pick. What Morey has been able to do through free agency and trades has been amazing. He might not be the best GM but he is one of the best.

My vote goes to Riley if I had to pick.

Can't label him the "best gm" just yet. The CP3 trade is risky, he's an aging undersized point guard that needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Plus, he hasn't commited to re-sign.

Morey would be undisputed best GM in the league if the league started from scratch and teams do not get high picks for having losing records.

Apparently Rockets created a 11 million TPE today, that's insane if true.

Well, morey inherited tmac and yao, but since moving on from that team he has done an incredible job. Trading for perennial all stars is not easy to do but he has done it twice now. He also deserves credit for finding guys like capella and parsons in the late part of the draft.

I think you really have to give Morey props. His teams have never tanked, so consequently he's never had any high lotto picks to work with.

If you're judging from the standpoint of giving more credit to someone who won't tank, then you have to give Morey his due. He's manufactured quite a team from not starting out with a lot of assets.

He's a shrewd and ambitious guy.

He inherited t-mac and yao when they were already broken down, not at the beginning of their careers.

At the very least Buford, Myers, Ainge, and Olshey are in front of him.

Neil Olshey? Are we talking about the guy who handed out money like it was going out of style to the Meyers Leonards, Moe Harklesses and Allen Crabbes of the world?
