Had this thread been made directly prior to LaVine's injury, it would have been Zach by a landslide. He hasn't played consistent minutes in an entire year.

When he shakes off the rust, he still has a higher upside than Booker, due to the giant gap in athleticism alone.

Give it some time. Right now, today, it's obviously Booker. Hopefully the Suns don't goof up what they've got because Booker & Jackson are two of the brightest young talents in the League.

I think they're on a similar trajectory, but Booker has a better skillset IMO. I wouldn't be shocked if LaVine turns out to be the better player though.

Sounds similar to all those Rose vs Westbrook debates.

Booker looks like a second coming of Klay Thompson. I don't care what manner you drop 70 points, I don't care how it was done, that is one helluva accomplishment.

That said, I think Lavine is more versatile. He's able to play a combo guard role. Give me both. Give me any. If I had to choose, I'm taking Booker. But if I'm left with Lavine, shoot...I'm not complaining.

I really don't think this is a fair question until we see LaVine healthy and back in the groove for a year or two. Prior to the knee, I'd have said Zach. I think he's a better shooter, better athlete and harder to stay in front of.

This is a premature thread IMO. It's way too early to say it right now. Since Lavine has just gone through a major injury in torn ACL, give him some time. I think we may have a better idea maybe by this time next year. I also think in Hoiball system, Lavine can be as good if not better than Booker IMO but time will tell.

Right now, Booker but by end of next year? We will have to wait and see.

Booker plays nothing like Klay. His playing style is more similar to Brandon Roy/Kobe. And how is LaVine more versatile? Booker is a better playmaker and has much more diverse scoring arsenal than LaVine.

Right now it's Booker without question but this would be a good comparison to keep track of.

Booker...Always take a shooter thats the last thing that goes
Once they have that golden shining moment and it comes to them in a dream or whatever and they understand that, that's when this team and this franchise will go to another level from where it was when I was here.

I think you have it backwards.

Booker is more impressive because he's far more versatile as a scorer.

Booker is having his 3rd year breakout (efficiency and impact wise). So I'm giving it to him.

But I think Lavine is definitely underrated in comparison. Lavine's physical tools are probably better than Booker's. He's top of the league teir athlete and with his shooting ability, handle and quick first step has super high end potential. But Booker has put it together on the court, especially this year, and is a year younger with no health concerns.

Neither have shown even average level defensive impact, but both have the size and athleticism to be at least adequate defenders. Just a matter of focus and effort for both.

I'm saying Lavine is a more versatile player. He played PG in college. He has the ability to play combo guard at any time and get his teammates involved...wheres, like you mentioned, Booker is a versatile SCORER.

Booker is averaging more assists this season than Lavine ever has.

Booker's assists have risen each season he's been in the league. Lavine's assists have declined each season he's been in the league.

Booker, not even close

Lavine doesnt have a go-to skill yet, although hes really good, while Booker is already a great shooter

They'll be in a similar position now, Lavine is the man on Bulls and Booker has free reign on suns.
Right now is not close as Booker took a step forward and Lavine was injured. But they were close before and Lavine was a third option on Twolves. Let's give him till next year before any conclusions.

Weird poll.

Next up, who would you rather have? Brandon Knight or Donovan Mitchell?

I like Lavine and would take him over Wiggins easily, but not over Booker.

Booker's ability to get his shot off whenever, from wherever, is incredible. Second only to Curry, imo. That's who he reminds me of the most: a SG Steph Curry.

I'd take skills/shooting with a lightning quick release, over a high vertical leap any day. DeShawn Stevenson had a 45-inch vertical.
