That's not really a good argument. Judging young guys potential based off whether or not they make the playoffs all while ignoring team situation and conference competition in "current season" isn't going to tell you as much as you'd like. DLo is better now but Ball/Ingram could easily be worth more than him in no time. Propping up DLo as some kind of untouchable star is a bit premature. He was an injury replacement all-star who's stats are more impressive due to the volume than the efficiency. I get that Nets fans are excited about a potential franchise player but for every Damian Lillard you have several Brandon Jennings. Just saying to air on the side of caution and not get too ahead of yourselves with his worth.

I would take Zo over DLo still. Ingram over DLO too. DLo over Hart and Kuz though. I believe Year 4 Zo and and year 4 BI will be a better player than DLO.

Ball over Russell? You guys are sipping that good **** out in Laker Land

Lonzo might not even be worth the rookie contract he’s currently on with all things considered.

Ingram just had a season ending injury that could potentially effect him his entire career.

Hart is no more than a second rd. prospect that could shape out to be a rotation player.

Give me the proven talent that actually produces wins, Russell has the it factor that none of the LA guys have.

Put me on record that LA will not get a player of Russell’s caliber with that group.

Yeah, an unefficient scorer with bad defense about to become a max player is so much better than Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma combined...

Lmao, Nets fans are really deluded.

"Inefficient" yeah hes 23 and shoots about the same as Kemba or Westbrook.

And the fact that you say his defense is bad just proves that you don't watch the Nets.

And nobody is saying he is better than all of them combined. Having an all star is better than having a bunch of good players.

These bitter Lakers fans are something else. Enjoy missing the playoffs.

Yep, a lot of them are.

Two good forwards in Kuzma and Ingram and a point and shooting guard? Where do I sign.

I forgot about Ingram's injury my thinking was to avoid paying the max for a player who isn't max worthy in my opinion. I'd keep Dlo.

I believe Kenny Atkinson would be able to develop Ingram and Ball into much better players than what the lakers will develop them into but how's that saying go, "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush". I think DLo still has room to grow so I would probably keep him.

How many all star teams did Brandon Jennings make? How many times was he the best player on a playoff team?

All I see is a bunch of excuses and just hope that lonzo and Ingram might have a better future than russel. Nothing factual . No one is saying he is untouchable but he sure is better than lonzo and Ingram and he’s only 23.

And idc what team situation or conference competition is. At the end of the day the facts are one 23 year old is leading his team to overachieve and make the playoffs while the other two young players have arguably the best player in the nba on their team and are about to be eliminated from the playoffs tonight. If we’re not going to judge this players by team success and individual performances then what should we judge them by? Hope?

I'm a Nets fan through and through. Always loved watching Magic play and follow UCLA. D'Lo has slowly grown on me. It's to early to give up on Ball just as it was to early to give up on D'Lo. This trade makes no sense for the lakers. Magic has made some bonehead moves so far as gm. But this trade would put him in Billy King territory.

Those two only got to play with LeBron for less than 25 games and were out for the rest of the season a while ago. Yes we judge the players with context, none of which you're doing. Nothing you say is factual. You expect two young players (younger than DLo mind you) to lead their team at the West while they rarely get to play with LeBron or their vets like Rondo who's only played like 35 games during the season? Keep in mind, that while LeBron was out because of his injury, Lonzo Ball also got injured. But nope, that's just an "excuse". DLo is in a far better situation than Ingram and Ball are. He has the far superior coach, better teammates (with better fit) and a top-tier management.

It's obviously more than fair value. Throw in a draft pick or 2 and that's the package for AD. I wouldn't execute the trade. That's Danny Ainge type slick, trade for a guy for a bag of peanuts and then trade him back where he came from for a king's ransom.

that 9 points in 3 possessions sequence Russell generated on two 3 point bangers and the hockey assist on another 3 pointer midway thru the 4th that pretty much put the Nets ahead for good versus LA tonight was funny as hell.

great thread OP.
