Def a good pickup for where he was drafted, was an older red shirted freshman coming out of college and will be 25 this season so it will be interesting to see how he developes. Not sure who I would have rather have kept between him and Poeltl as I think he will really thrive under Pops also.

Yea I wanted to hear what non-raptor fans thought of him

How is he better than Draymond? Please try to enlighten me so I can destroy your attempt.

Sorry but you were destroyed by buying into the troll toll.

Draymond is the best defender of all time imo. But Siakam is better especially defensively

1 **** guy and a known homer... Don't generalize. Makes you look stupid

Be grateful yall didn't have to trade him to get Kawhi, he seems like the exact sort of player that would flourish in the Spurs.

He's a really great defender, that's been covered. I felt like was the sort of guy that would come in NBA ready and fill a niche but would be limited and wouldn't really blossom beyond his initial skill-set. Seeing some of these videos makes me wonder whether there is indeed some upside to his game that is still developing offensively. With all that said, we can often see guys flash various skills in non-NBA settings but never be elite enough at them for it to translate to NBA play. So I'll believe the offensively development when I see it during the season. But at least he has an athletic base to work off. A very valuable piece for Toronto.

The small ball lineup potential is scary (maybe some issues crashing the boards?) - Lowry, Green, Kawhi, OG, Siakam.

That's probably the lineup I'm most looking forward to see from any team this year.

Yea rebounding is gonna be a problem with that lineup

If the team is good enough defensively though you can live with the rebounding issues. IIRC GS isn’t that good of a rebounding team with their small ball lineup, it’s just they destroy you in so many other ways you can live with it

Just look around the league, all the top teams are sacrificing rebounding for defense, speed and spacing these days. If rebounding was still a priority Kenny Faried wouldn’t be a 3rd stringer that nobody wants these days. Gotta get a stop before you can get a rebound.

Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Is the guy who said he'll be better than Draymond still a troll?

Edit: I googled RealGM Siakam to find a more recent thread of his, it's always interesting looking at threads about MIP candidates before they were actually MIP candidates.

Hey does anyone know where I can find any threads about Pascal Siakam? I've been wanting to discuss him but he really seems to fly under the radar.

Good role player who does a little bit of everything but nothing particularly well. Reminds me of Al Horford.

One of the great players these last 10 years.

I remember his shot against jazz over Ehlo in the 98 finals.

“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

He's also a sub-10 second 100m dash away from being an Olympic curler.

He is a special defensive player right now.

Anyways, I'm a big fan. Coming out of college, I always thought of him as a potential "new-age" Taj Gibson.

Wow. New-age Taj Gibson? I like it. Taj, when he was balling, could get buckets. Siakum is a much better creator/ passer tho. Also Taj is built pretty diesel, whereas Pascal needs to add a few lbs. Both can defend like mofos, too
