This officially ends the Knicks era in NYC and they should seriously consider moving to Seattle.

So basically move a 5 billion networth Knicks team to Seattle which will probably value at 1 billion dollars?

they should lose half of their value overnight. no star player wants to go there

Sounds like the title of a 30 for 30. Would be a good doco too.

It doesn't look good for the Knicks but this still wont make the Nets relevant in NY. It'll just lead to Knicks fans caring and paying less attention over the next year or two.

The Knicks' plans was Prime Kevin Durant, Prime Kyrie Irving and Prime Anthony Davis.

The Nets got Durant with a torn Achilles. They got DeAndre Jordan instead of Anthony Davis.

the issue is they got nothing of value for porzingis, who will be an absolute monster the next 6-8 seasons

i've said this on the knicks board and got ridiculed but:

1. dsjr is a bust
2. porzingis will be a monster (this coming from the person who predicted his exact injury months before it occurred)
3. those picks from mavs will all be outside the lottery

if knicks had a brain, they'd have maxed out KP, then trade him after showing he can hoop.. torn acl is not a major injury in 2019.. it just isn't.. it's a mechanical flaw that is easily fixed.. and in KP's recent rehab videos, one trainer started to address it

you don't trade a RFA 7ft 3 monster with guard skills (who was puttin up huge ppg before his 1st knee injury that year) when his value is pennies on the dollar..

and somehow knick fans trust that FO?!?!?!

i find it hard to believe the majority of the current knick forum was around for the early 2000s.. the way most post is reminiscent of the early knick forum rgm (isiah) days.. (full of naivety)

all posters over 25yo know what's up.. that franchise is doomed as long as Dolan is around.. at least RJ Barrett will be a monster, but somehow they will mess it up

I'm a Nets fan and frankly this has nothing to so with the Knicks.
This is possibly the greatest day in franchise history and the Knicks will continue to rebuild just like we did only a couple of years ago.
Frankly the Nets Knicks rivalry is non existant.

You absolutely hated KP--when did he become one of the best players in franchise history? Oh, I get it, you're bashing the Knicks again....

he proved me wrong, he has a unique size and skill. You traded that away to get a chance to sign 2 max cats, yet your crosstown rival one upped you and took the 2 max cats, and you are left with nothing. This is the darkest day in knicks history by far. I genuinely feel bad for all knicks fans right now.

They absolutely can be.

This isn't the Lakers vs Clippers situation. The Knicks are not the Lakers, they are a team that last won a ring almost 50 years ago and have been almost irelevant post-season wise for 20 years now.

The Lakers have an insurmountable lead on the Clips the Nets don't have to do much to leap over the Knicks in modern history success.

Every Knick fan that I know will still be a Knick fan, and for a franchise that hasn't won a championship in 50 years, the Knicks sure get a lot of attention. Some will say... It's because of NYC, nah man, its because of a loyal fanbase that started when many of the teams currently playing weren't playing in the cities they now play in or not even in existence. Knicks fans are generational fans that reality will not be changed by two players deciding to play in Brooklyn. The Nets weren't the Kings of NY, when Dr. J played, when Jason Kidd and his crew played, when Kevin Garnett and his crew played... NY Knicks have the most loyal fans and because they do, the team will always be the Kings of NY. Seems like there are quite a few young people on this board who cant remember when the Knicks were good. When they are again, you will get sick of it because it will be NY Knicks 24/7, and that might not be that long away
I cant stand foolishness.......

doesn't matter, we have a bunch of 1st rounders coming up within the next few years. If a top player wants to come then cool, if not keep with the youth.

It's funny everyone always bashes the knicks for the albatross contracts and old players, and now we have a ton of cap and young high potential players and we are still getting bashed.

The nets are second fiddle to the knicks no matter what. Good for them Getting kd and Kyrie but if they ever win a chip by isn't going crazy. Maybe nj will? They just aren't a big deal. The Knicks for bad or worse is the story in NY.

We have rj and Mitchell... The rest I'm not high on. I hope they prove me wrong but based on what I have seen they leave a lot to be desired.

Nets were the kings of New York even last season...they made the playoffs. Knicks will be a joke as long as Dolan is there.

I've never seen such venom and enjoyment over a 17 win team not being to add talent. I guarantee if this was a small market team in the Knicks shoes that everyone will cry afoul how terrible the NBA product is.

Knicks have been **** over by Silver in two of the more recent drafts by dropping in the lotto and people enjoy that type of sabotage.

I'm not upset at all over the news, Nets deserved this and I hope this is a wake up call for the Knicks to make logical decisions for the better and not to shake up headlines.

Gotta feel bad for Knicks fans. They were waiting for this moment as their team gets Zion, Kyrie, and KD. Instead they're getting Terry Rozier.

Knicks will be fine and will probably be a better team and more watchable next season. All nets did for next season was add Kyrie, who compared to DLO isnt that much of an inprovement considering mentality, attitude, injury history. He is more flashier, but if anything, it'll probablh be no more than a 5 game improvement next season at most with Kyrie. Now after next season, who knows with KD coming back, but cant thats too far to predict.
