Injuries are huge. Durant would be 2 if not for injury.
Now I have no idea how to rank him. How will he come back Achilles are no joke.

Embiidd also would be top 5. But I feel like his career could end at any second.

In 9 years prior to Golden State he was on a 60 win team once (60 exactly). Westbrook got hurt and KD was tasked to carry the offensive load in the playoffs. They got owned 1-4 in the 2nd round by the Grizzlies with KD having a 42/35/77 slash.

Curry is the one with the gravity you speak of and has been comfortably better than KD since 2015. The KD the Nets will get will not be a top 10 player.

What is everyone else thinking in terms of KD's rank? I think I'm not gonna vote for him at all, because for just 2019-2020 it's very unlikely that he plays.

I can’t imagine him being a Top 25 player this season. Maybe if we went down to 50, he’d merit consideration for the chances he comes back for the playoffs, but I certainly won’t be voting for him anywhere in the top 35 spots or so.

Yeah, it’s weird that a couple people think he will be the top player or second best player next year. There will definitely be 25 players better than him next year. Not too bothered about having him in the poll though, as long as there are nine legitimate choices to pick from.

LeBron again here. He should have been #1, but 19-20 LeBron is making the playoffs (18-19 would have were it not for injuries derailing the Lakers last year), and this poll takes into account both the RS and POs. While he won’t be the best in the RS in my opinion, playoff LeBron is the best player in the league, and that’s when the NBA really matters.

How does either have an argument against Giannis or curry?

Especially the one whose missing the entire season.

Durant should be removed. It is already confirmed he will not play any single minute in 2019-20 even in the playoff.

Where dd you find this? I've seen a couple articles in the past few days saying the Nets aren't ruling out a 2019-20 return and I've never seen anything to the contrary.
