I highly doubt Harden agrees to joining the Knicks unless he's content with not winning a championship. We all know his legacy depends on him winning ring(s).

He will opt out of 22-23 for an extension. The Knicks haven't proven themselves enough. Maybe Brooklyn is pursuing James Harden and not NYK.

If James Harden wants to go to the Eastern Conference he needs to get to Brooklyn or even Milwaukee. I know, Milwaukee, HA(!), but it makes sense to maximize success.

Bold prediction, I don’t see it though. I think Bradley Beal or Chris Paul could very well be Knick’s along with Giannis though within the next couple of seasons

The problem with Melo to the Knicks was Amar'e couldnt stay healthy. With all that cap spent on Stat and Tyson Chandler we couldnt really build around Melo properly.

Also mix that in with dumb hires and trades like sending a 1st rd pick for Bargnani. Alot of the blame goes to Melo which it shouldnt.

I'd like to see NY turn things around but I don't believe they can convince Harden. They'd have a year or two window to do so before Harden will want a longtrrm extension. Good luck to you this off-season.

I actually think Harden would be someone who wouldn't be afraid of the spotlight ... He doesn't give a damn and just cares about balling out. Might be selfish, but given that a shakeup is coming in Houston, it's possible.

Good one OP. I usually laugh at most wishful suggestions, but this is a good one. NY FO needs to woo him though. With Harden there, you guys could make a play for Bron and AD in 2023. That offer would be something Bron would be very tempted to take... Can you imagine how much of a blockbuster that would be?

Given some of the big names being linked to New York with the this early off season Harden would be a steal if they can get him. It's going to cost them both Barrett and Robinson if they want to go that route, but honestly this would be one of those times if you're NYK and Houston are trying to blow it up after Morey departure you do what ever to make this happen.
