There are no simlarities with KD.
The Warriors are on a 15-50 record. They are not champions anymore, not even considered a top team by this board.
Every once in a while you see threads claiming that the warriors will not be a contender anymore, that they are past their prime etc.
The reasons Giannis has to play for GS are two:

1) he really likes steph and the two of them seem to get along fine
2) his girlfriend is from California and her parents live there

It's a certainty that his agents will add more to this:
-Bigger market, more endorsemements, more coverage.
Does Giannis cares for the above? Probably not. On the contrary he seems annoyed every time someone tries to follow him with a camera on the streets for example.
But his girlfriend and her family is not a factor you can take lightly. He clearly values family above everything.
If his family wants to go to California, this will be crucial.

Milwaukee is in pole position.
The team is ready, the coach is good, the front office one of the best. New arena, new practice facilities.
A quiet and peaceful environment for him to grow up his son away from the lights.
If they don't win this year, he will stay. He wants a championship there.
If they do win tho, my opinion is that he will walk. He will no longer have that motive and obligation.

Damn one Championship and bolt eh? Man the good old days when stars won a couple championships for their team is long gone. Imagine if Michael Jordan left the Bulls after their first win.

It's funny though that in the past guys were loyal to their team even if they weren't born and raised there and even if that team struggled heavily.

If his family's wish is to live elsewhere ofc he will leave and noone can accuse him for this.
Basically noone can accuse any player for the decisions he takes for his career but that's a big convo.

Las Vegas
....if they manage to get a team
....they should build a fake Acropolis to entice Giannis

Of course he can do whatever the **** he wants, just like I have the right to move to any state I want and work for any company I want to. I also have the right to be a dick to waiters if I feel like it, my point is superstars need to understand that them moving around a bunch is a rough time for the fans of the team. Though of course no one will notice if I switch jobs and/or switch states meanwhile if Giannis does it it's national news for a month.

I think far too many players get caught up in grass is greener mentality, LMA is a great example left a good Blazer team that was coming up to go to the Spurs because they had that coveted championship pedigree. Unfortunately for him that sure as **** didn't get him any rings. I bet he regrets his decision because if he played his entire career as a Blazer he would have had a city that loved him forever.

Acting like rings are guaranteed when superstar xyz jumps ship for another team is the silliest thing.

I honestly see him staying in Milwaukee, he has a legit contender there. But if he leaves, I don't see him signing anywhere where he's not the clear cut best player.

I think you forget something important. Giannis ain't American.
The teams he used to support as a youngster are not in the US. Fans there ofc can feel whatever they want but for someone who is from a different country things are simple. He's a pro and he makes his living on a foreign country.
He may feel love for the people of wisconsin, i'm sure he does. But he's been there 7 years already. By the time his contract ends, he will be a resident of milwaukee 9 years. It's more than enough if he feels that a new challenge is on the way.
Not every foreign player is Dirk.

Toronto you can forget about it, no way in hell he'd want to go there freeze his behind. He wants to go to the Lakers. I think Miami too is open and maybe San Francisco. But LA is clearly numero uno in his mind.

No.1 pick, Wiggins, Klay and maybe(likely not; depends on the timing) even Steph.

Come on now. What did Anthony Davis fetch? Did he fetch and all-star? Nope...he got some nice young pieces and draft picks.

History...please actually observe the history of the NBA. Feel free to name me one trade in the history of NBA that traded back equal value for a star that wanted to leave (IF that's the case...and it is the case if he decides not to take a MAX this summer).

And maybe Steph....lol...thanks...I needed that!
We got 1 all star and most likely another in Lonzo.

Would you like to actually look at the context between Anthony Davis and Giannis? If you're going to tell people to "please actually observe the history of the NBA," it'd be wise to do it yourself.

Bucks but if he leaves it'll be TOR or MIA. GS is only via trade
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

Miami, Lakers, Raptors, Bucks... IMO he ends up on one of those teams.

Miami: Giannis, Bam, Jimmy
Lakers: Giannis, AD, LeBron
Raptors: Giannis, Siakim, ____?

3 great options

They have the best position to acquire him.

How? Why would Milwaukee trade Giannis to Golden State? You think the Bucks want Wiggins' or Draymond's contract?

Not saying he'd go to the Jazz, but they'd be favorites if he did -- Mitchell/Clarkson/Bogdanovic/Giannis/Gobert.

That's over 100 ppg just in the starting lineup.

I think he'd at least stay in the Eastern Conference, where it's still easier to advance in the playoffs.

I really, really, really hope he stays in Milwaukee. They've done everything right in terms of building and developing an outstanding team around him, and the league desperately needs one of its superstars to actually stay with the small market team that drafted and developed him for once.

Trading Brogdon wasn't doing everything.

Getting asset value out of a restricted free agent signing a contract offer that would have put them well into the tax was the right move, and framing it as "trading Brogdon" without discussing the context of the move is disingenuous

I think he stays, to me the Bucks are the contender that will be least affected by the layoff this season.

Here's the context. You have arguably the best player in the world who can walk in 2 years. You have a key piece who's a restricted free agent and can't walk. You have an ownership group who's unwilling to go in the tax despite the fact that doing so would demonstrate a commitment to winning so that said superstar player might think you'd do anything to win. Instead to take low draft picks in a **** draft. That's the context. Can't more genuine.
