Kyrie and KD couldn't give two **** about winning. This is all about fulfilling their oversized and insecure egos. The fact that they forced the Nets to give DAJ a contract nobody was offering at 4/40M was pathetic knowing you had Jarrett Allen who's the starting C and a far better one at this stage of his career whereas DAJ realistically would've had to settle for the Dwight role at a bench salary. 60-70% of his salary could be used to nab more successful role players or put to better use elsewhere but alas.

Last year was a disaster with this oversized clown throwing teammates under the bus and then the 3 snakes got Kenny Atkinson fired b/c DAJ wanted to start when his play suggested otherwise. I know that it may have been time for Kenny to move on, but the way things went down made me sick. Now you have Kyrie going off without telling his team and pulling this BS in the middle of a pandemic is pathetic. Now he'll most likely have to quarantine for 10-14 days. It's fitting that KD is wasting the remaining best years of his prime on a self absorbed clown who couldn't care less and his quest to prove that he could win a ring without the W's may end in vain.

Not a nets fan, but I'm so happy I don't have this world be flat on my team who has an ego bigger than the milky way.

Winning what, regular season? I think pretty much the entire league has shown that nobody cares about the regular season anymore. Aside from getting a spot to the real games, and they even changed that to 10 spots per conference.
(plus of course, in the West you will want to avoid the Lakers.)

This is true. The new blueprint to win a championship has become “Make star players play just enough to make playoffs. Maybe worry about seeding, but not that much.”

The sad thing is that it’s probably correct. No point being a 1st seed if your best player is cooked by the playoffs due to regular season load. Ask D Rose and Bulls fans (just to name one example).

That is a good point when you look at what happened to the Bulls. Still unbelievable that ownership couldn't even give that team an average starting shooting guard. Keith Bogans?! It was practically 4 on 5 on offense and it's still amazing D Rose did what he did.

I still am of that belief that if Kyrie wasn't gonna play, be straightforward about it. The fact that this shows up on the internet is a bad look and he's gonna have some explaining to do to his teammates. He may be an extremely talented player, but it's not smart to be pulling that stunt off during a pandemic.

Ridiculous is correct.
The ones that defend players all the time are no different. It's amazing how much is acceptable and how the ownerships, Coaches, and management's allow. Kyrie is still getting his full pay and not missing any checks.

I kinda expected the lad wasn't playing cause he didn't feel like it. It seems the personal reason was his sister's birthday, which is no reason to miss 3-4 games while your team is paying you 40 mil dollars to play in 70 reg season games and the playoffs.

I'd imagine Irving is a huge prick in real life.

Kyrie just wants to do whatever he wants to, he was always like that and he'll be always like that unless he faces some consequenses about it. He doesn't care about the criticism so there goes that. Nets are not a strong/historic franchise they depend 100% on him and KD so there goes that also. So i don't see a scenario where he's been held responsible for partying while his teammates are playing and practising.
