Sure but the 5-60 in 2018 is probably 4-5x better. That matters.

There are more rotation spots in a 30 team league than a 23 team league like in 1984. Just kinda needs to be pointed out you're going to get more rotation players over time by a function of a bigger league.

That’s fair, but then we should also point out that top to bottom the league is SIGNIFICANTLY more talented today and making it on a roster is a lot harder anyway.

I agree, but I don't see that changing the draft size relative to team roster limitations.

I’m saying there were less slots across the league at that time, but the significant talent increase eats that up anyway to where I’m not sure the modern era is easier to make a squad. The net could be a similar chance of making the cut.
