I expect Herro to make a modest leap after having his first actual NBA offseason, but nothing too crazy. Probably around 30-33 ppg on 68% TS

Herro could lead the Heat in PPG.

It was his first offseason to work on his body and develop his skillset. People gave him too much **** last year. Yea he didnt follow up on his bubble play but it wasnt a fluke. Its not like he declined massively it was just people expected him to take a bigger leap. After all he was a 20yo in his second season , with quite a few injuries, without a offseason, with only 1 month of rest after nba finals.

I think he can be our leading scorer this season from the bench. His role is set. He can get all the shots from the 2nd unit untill Oladipo heals up. I expect 20/6/4 on 46/39/85 splits with improved defense.

I wasn't super high on him as a prospect but he's put on muscle and clearly worked on his game enough that I now see him having the ability to be a very good SG in this league. He has some playmaking skills and can get his shot against pretty much anyone. If he dedicates himself on the defensive side of the ball I think he'll be a solid #3 in this league

IMO, he has the skills and potential to be our “Trae Young” but?

I still don't see a future all star unless he makes it in the future as the 3rd member of a top 2 seed for example.

He'll be a very good player but I see a 20/5/5 prime at best.

? He spelled it correctly. It's the same "fare" as in "farewell".

As always with young players you are looking for progress and signs that he is working hard on his game. The third season is often when players have a breakout year, although I'd perhaps caution against that given the wildly unusual situation this years' third year players have been in since entering the league.

Where did I hear this before?
That’s right, they said that about a bunch of players.
Wade, Nash, Dirk to think of a few Hall of famers.
Of course they said quite the opposite about a few busts as well.

Yup, from one extreme to the other, and always a prophet lol.

he might one of those under the radar candidates for MiP or 6MoY that most people didn't see coming.

Him or Mo Bamba

The Preseason usually does indicate SOMETHING, I was listening to CJ McCollum and JJ Redick and JJ talked about how CJ had a scorching game against JJ in the preseason and JJ looked at his #s and they were all insane that pre-season. Then that very same regular season CJ goes on to be a 20 ppg scorer and win MiP.

Preseason is much more indicative of what's about to come than Summer league, especially when actual starters are out there.

Outstanding preseason for Tyler Herro:

5 games
26.9 min
22.4 PPG/4.8 RPG/3.2 APG
63.4% TS
26.3 PER
.264 WS/48
+13.0 net rating

Only 24.4% of Tyler Herro's field goal makes were assisted.

Having his first real offseason to mold his game and body seems to be having an impact on his improved performance.
