those are pretty similar players offensively.

except rj can hit the three and derozan can't.

so they're not similiar at all.

Jimmy and dense I meant. Defensively I see the come between rn and jimmy though. Both strong above average athletes with great motor and focus. Communicate well. Offensively, rj is too unique in skillet and body. He’s like old and new school mixed together

 come on now. RJ is the 2nd or 3rd best player on a playoff team. He wasn’t far off from averaging 20 ppg last season at 20 years old  Winslow? Please Thats delusional

Yeah that was a pretty dumb take.

Think people forget Jimmy really didn’t break out until his 4th season.. and he was like a full 3 years older than RJ at the time too.. I’m not the biggest believer in RJ but he is ahead of where Jimmy was at the same age

Jimmy didn't break out till huis 4th season but in his 3rd season he was averaging 5 free throws a game.

In Jimmy's 4th season and onward he averaged from 5.5 up to 9 free throws a game.

In order for RJ to become the new butler he needs to get to the FT line at an elite rate and convert his free throws at an 80% clip.

Btw I acknowledge RJ had an awesome game, and got to the line 6 times. He needs to do this every game basically.

Think he has that in him?

Nah, I get RJ Barrett vibes from RJ Barrett. RJ is a much better player than Jimmy was at 21. RJ is on a different trajectory.

Another NYK player that will be traded to the Mavs in a few years, following in the footsteps of Porz, THJ and Bullock.

I kid! Or maybe not. :naaa:

Jimmy Butler didn’t score 35 until he was 25 years old.

RJ is on a completely different trajectory

Yeah I can see a Granger/ Paul George vibe to him but not Jimmy. Different players and different gifts. He's not on Jimmy's level. But he has the potential to be better than Jimmy.

whatever the consensus (usually uneducated) opinion is about a Knicks player on the general board, the complete opposite is usually true.

Already a better 3 point shooter

Derozan also can’t defend a practice cone
