So hard to compare.
One is a high usage, exciting, above average scorer and rebounder who is a bit inefficiency.
One is a low usage, elite defender, below average scorer and playmaker with great team intangibles.
Miles will almost certainly catch your eye and have better raw stats but Mikal is just so good defensively it's a hard comparison.
Some stats comparison:
Miles:
22/7/4/2/1 on 45/34/76 shooting
19.3 PER
55.7 TS%
24% Usage
.132 WS/48
113 ORTG
110 DRTG
Mikal:
14/4/2/1/1 on 54/40/75 shooting
14.0 PER
62.7 TS%
16% Usage
.134 WS/48
119 ORTG
107 DRTG
Miles has been the better player this season, can go out and get you 20 where as Mikal can't. I think in an offensive era where defensive impact isn't as valuable as well as being 1.5 years younger you have to go with Miles.

Because he is a lockdown defender, shooting 45% from 3. The 10 game winning streak doesn't hurt either.durantbird wrote:Jay_Sizzle wrote:Miles for highlights, Mikal for winning.

Because he was the fourth player on a winning team?

Mikal is a DPOY candidate year in, year out and will continue to be for years to come. He's a deadly 3 point shooter, incredibly smart with his decisions, can slash to the basket and he's a team guy through and through.
Miles has really been impressive this season but Mikal brings much more to the table and has Finals experience.

Mikal would happily average 20 ppg on a bad team, without a major drop in efficiency. Give him the reps, and he'd be a capable secondary ball handler on the pick and roll as well. His defense is absolutely stifling, and a huge plus point over Miles. Should be 1st team defense this year.
