I wonder if it's something more severe or if Davis is softest player to ever play this game.

Regardless he will be out from month to few months minimum I reckon.

AD seems like a guy with a lower pain tolerance than the average NBA player.

ehhh.....

I think most of us are exiting that game if our foot bends Parrel. Sure some of us were high as hell during that game, so it's possible some would not figure it out, but they would likely be out by tomorrow.

Lakers only won the title because the long bubble allowed AD and leBron to be fresh and healthy

Lakers missing the play in tournament isn't totally out of the question now. Pelicans look improved with CJ. Portland is playing well.

It is mindblowing to me how many knee/ankle injuries AD has had and he STILL wears lowtops. WHAT ARE YOU DOIIIING.

that actually doesnt have anything to do with it, you realize his ankles are taped under there right?

That looked really painful, honestly. Hope it's not a more than a bad sprain.

One of my best friends, rest his soul, had one like this happen way back when while we were playing. Full rollover with serious damage to his tendons and ankle in general, and it was never right again. From that point on, he wore lace up ankle braces on both feet just in case.

This can't be good and I'm willing to bet this keeps him out for the remainder of the season. It's probably better for him to not rush it anyway. The Lakers aren't going to make the playoffs and if they do, it's a one and out scenario like last season.

For somebody who rolls his ankles on a monthly basis, he needs as much support as he can get. Im suprised hes not wearing braces by now. Tape only goes so far. High tops would be added insurance.

At some point you have to blame the player. Falling awkwardly multiple times a game, not being able to control your momentum, multiple injuries per season. When you don’t have fundamental skills, like Tim Duncan, you are going to put yourself in positions that are high risk for injury, too.

This happens. He'll be out a week or two, might even be back by the time the all-star break is done

I rolled my ankle like that before. I damaged my tendons and was on crutches for nearly 2 months with a brace. I believe it was classified as a 3rd degree sprain or something. I didn't go to physical therapy because I couldn't afford it. Still gets stiff nearly 15 years later.

Hopefully, that is the worst case scenario for Davis. I imagine he'll have way better treatment than I did as well.

Guess I'm pointing this out because it was extremely painful and I see people downplaying his pain. You can hear something pop with that injury and think you broke something.

That looked extremely painful. I've had a partial tear in my ankle tendon and it kept me in crutches for a while. This can go either way, hopefully he's alright.

Ankles are pretty tough

I never root for injuries for any player, but if this were a Clippers player, he'd likely be out for the rest of the season- would be broken with torn ligaments on top of it. Look at what happened to Powell.

Well according to RealGM Davis is actually not that great, so I expect LeBron to get their championship run going now.

Always sucks to see a big man get these kinds of injuries.

That has to be it cuz he has been a shell of himself for most of the season
