I would like him to be on Miami, just so the convo with Morris would be super awkward.

What people who believe he'd go to some bigger market and care about that don't know is that he doesn't give a **** about Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, either. Belgrade is basically the entertainment center of the Balkans, meaning that no surrounding country matches its night life, yet no one has ever seen him going out here in Belgrade when he's in Serbia. Simply never, while other athletes are always in the clubs at the rivers or all over the city, restaurants and similar locations. Hence, no Miami club or New York fancy restaurant can attract him to sign elsewhere.

He's staying as long as the Nuggets want him, that's about it.

Sure but losing changes your perspective. His ability to be Denver's Duncan (in the sense of creating a team that consistently wins or is legitimately in the hunt) is already out the window because he hasn't had the roster support (because of injuries and maybe some drafting missteps) to do so.

I think the Denver FO has done a fine job putting together a "big four" of Jokic, Murray, MPJ and Gordon... and they've also got nice depth with Monte Morris, Will Barton, Bones Hyland, Brym Forbes, Jamychal Green, Uncle Jeff, etc. Injuries have derailed their train temporarily, hopefully not permanently because I like seeing competent FOs in smaller markets rewarded. Anyway, you can't say their FO isn't up to the challenge when they've put together a roster like that.

Not sure I would use "big" as adjective to those four names. Cap-wise MPJ contract alone will more than likely sink Nuggets' contender aspirations in long term, while Gordon is nothing to write home about and that is from Magic fan who watched him since he entered the league. I am not dismissing Murray's chances to live up to the potential of being solid sidekick, but besides the injury consistency has been an issue.

They are capped out on a roster without a single All Star to help Jokić out and let's not pretend that anyone there is a lock to get to that status ever.
