Wait, 25M a year for Max Strus?

The new TV deal is around the corner :(
You are looking at a good defender and a very good 3pt shooter, he will get paid.

He's not getting paid 25 million though. Robinsons deal was signed with that new TV deal in mind.

He's the very definition of a role player.

When was he "basically out of the league?" He made the team as a rookie and then became the starter in year 2 on a team that went to the Finals.

Textbook example of why you need large sample sizes, much larger than what the majority of people think, especially for 3 point shooting. DR has now regressed back to the mean, and then some.

He's such a streaky shooter - I would give him some burn to see if he hit like 4-5 in a row which he's capable of doing.

The large sample says he's a high volume, 40+% 3 point shooter that had a slow start to the year. :dontknow:

Yeah, 1200 threes attempted from the previous two seasons is a pretty huge sample size.

Before this season he was about 42% career 3 point shooter, this year has only dragged his career totals down.

But I do agree that a lot of this is just a bit of variance and I do believe he is still an elite shooter. Assuming the NBA doesn't entirely give up on him, I expect him to have a bounce back season in 2022-2023.

His career shooting percentages are higher than his bubble percentages, but thanks for the theory.

:noway: This is false.

Bubble Duncan Robinson: 45%/40.64%/91%

Non-Bubble Duncan Robinson:43%/40.57%/82%

However, I'll admit I wasn't including pre-bubble stats when I made my original statement. When you look at that, the 3P% drop off is negligible. Post-bubble is where the drop off across the board has come:

Post Bubble Duncan Robinson: 42%/39%/82.4%.

Feel free to actually look yourself. Includes reg season & playoffs. Sweet one-liner though.

 I love people go to certain narratives when they can easily verify certain pieces of data with a few clicks.

See above.

In the future, take your own advice. Clown

Duncan Robinson won two Championships together with the San Antonio Spurs but then they got old and had to retire.

If a player named Duncan Parker-Ginobli comes out of college & the Spurs don't draft them they are nucking futs.
