Myth wrote:I don’t recall many calling him a bust. He was criticized for being overpaid and not a well rounded as a player, which was true at the time and therefore fair IMO. I also don’t remember everybody saying Minny won that trade. I couldn’t believe Minny would include that pick for a guy who was also pretty one dimensional. I think many looked at it as a desperation move by the Wolves to keep Towns happy by bringing in his buddy and overpaid to do that.

I remember many people calling him a bust and I have read a lot of comments that he will be out of the league in some years, that he is a horrible defender etc.
Many lies and too much hate.
They based their analysis in some advanced stats bprmfgr, sdfas, sdfesd and other stats with some difficult names.

But they never took in to account the team that he was playing and all these advanced stats rely on the team performace and success.
I still like and have fun with this article with some very good advanced stats analysis https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/andrew-wiggins-lebron-james/

The fun thing is that Wiggins has not performed a single Jordan esque offensive game with Warriors(while he had multiple with Timberwolves).
I wonder what will happen if he is allowed from the Warriors stuff to do that. What if he gets some screens or what if Warriors give him the ball and push him to attack to Luka(he is 2 levels faster than Luka).

Crazy to think all he needed was multiple HOFs by his side.

Crazy to think that people can understand how good a player is only if his team wins

He took the cheque and mailed it in. The fact he's not performing and doing the small things on a title contender still screams he didn't care. So No. Not apologising. We still did well to kick his leech ass to the curb

Maybe it's Minnesota. Culture is more impactful than you think. Butler got ran out of town for trying to build a culture in Minnesota. Jokes on them.

Show me on the teddy bear where the Wolves touched you...

Seriously though, I think the way PBev delivered his message may have been a little less abrasive than Buckets was, hence the shift in team dynamic this season.

Clown fits right in.

Is that why they got as far with Pat Bev as Jimmy Butler?

So not very far at all. Nothing to brag about.

I love Wiggins but I don't give a crap if fans of other teams do. Same goes for the rest of the roster.

Double standards? Butler left the Wolves for teams with culture and since then made the finals once and is on the verge of making it again. Both times as the #1 option.

Wiggins is still overpaid with his production. But I'm okay with it until his next contract.

100%

Minnesota was in a no-win situation with him, its hard to get someone with the #1 pick, max extend them, and then say "oh, he's probably better in a support role". That just doesn't happen

He's definitely a guy that needs to be handled with care. But I dont think this is about MIN fans and their experience, its the idea that he's not a key part of our team and its success

I too understand the attitude of Minnesota fans, but Minnesota played him in a role for which he was not suited, although a role I can understand them expecting of him given they picked him number 1 and maxed him.

The series doubtless has many twists to go and this was only 1 game, but those who sneered pre-game at his defensive abilities and contended he would be totally unable to guard Luka perhaps could mildly apologise.

You literally said the Wolves chased him out of town because he tried to change the culture. Pat Bev comes in changes the culture, isn’t run out of town, wins the same amount as Butler did here, but he is a clown. Your standards are all over the place. Considering the Suns logo I’m guessing this is just you lashing out at Pat Bev.

Wiggins is a good player if you define his role correctly. He’s a long, fairly strong, lengthy man defender. He’s a great athlete with a good jump shot.

Now his processor as a player can run a bit slow. I think GSW brought him along as a defender well, as his off-ball tendencies have improved quite a bit. It certainly helps having a role in the offense that requires less decision-making. He’s a play finisher, not a playmaker. He’s still at least a little lazy and a little boneheaded, and he’s certainly overpaid, but getting a 20-25mil player for an extra 10-15mil short term isn’t the worst thing ever if you can afford it. They can.

Suuuure. Pat Bev changed it lmao. Whatever you say bud.

Btw, Wolves current success has more to do with Ant being a rising superstar than Pat Bev playing back up PG.

I agree witb Pat Bevs comments about CP3 being a cone. Not sure why I would lash out.

Recently cut fingernails are way sharper than slighlty longer ones. Could've happened with anyone swiping at the ball.
