Seriously would GSW rather get a less talented team but led by a coach who's been in the finals several times or a more talented team but no finals experience yet?

It honestly doesnt matter. I truly believe the Warriors really dont care who they play. Not because they are at all cocky, but every team that gets this far has to believe they can beat any team that gets in front of them, while at the same time having a appropriate amount of respect to know that any team can beat you at any time if you dont come correct.

Mentally you have to be ready to face anyone, so i cant imagine anyone on the warriors is rooting to play a certain team, its just a matter of what scouting and game plan they will end up using. Every team has to believe if you perform up to the limits you are capable, you can beat anyone.

Man I haven't heard the code brought up this much since Al Horford threw an elbow at Dellavedova, for supposedly breaking it by going for the ball.

He said who he thought was better and picked a winner of the series. How is that trash talk?

Yup, and it’s literally his job as a tnt analyst to provide his opinion.

No it wasn't. He didn't say anything negative about Miami. He simply predicted Boston would advance.

There's some weird posts in here and the above strike me as extremely naive takes. I'm not going to sit here and argue that what Draymond said was incredibly egregious or inflammatory, but he clearly was taking a dig at the Heat with the way he answered without hesitation (and laughing) that the Celtics were going to win. That's not analysis.

Also, I'm not sure why people are trying to **** on Haslem. Of course, any competitor is going to use something like this as added motivation.

I’m not a Draymond fan but I fail to see what he did wrong. Your post and many others like yours have clearly demonstrated that you don’t even know the context of what Draymond said.

I want to see Draymond try his **** with UD on the court - even a 50 year old UD... He won't see the rest of the series

You’re telling on yourself. Draymond ain’t desperate for sht. He’s already got his post basketball career locked up. All he did was give his honest opinion on who he thought would win the series.

How are the Heat players dumb? Green basically said BOS was the better team on national TV and MIA used it as motivation to win Game 6 and may be Game 7 as well.

As for Green preferring to play MIA over BOS, I'm not so sure. BOS & MIA are similar teams that play excellent defense. Butler is just as dangerous as Tatum if not more so. Butler/Bam is not worse than Tatum/Brown and both teams have good benches. Heat has NBA Finals experience and key players Lowry, Tucker and Spoelstra are NBA Champions as key contributors vs. BOS with none. Spoelstra is one of the best coaches in the game. Overall, MIA is less likely than BOS to be flustered by being in an NBA Finals series. They've been there.

AussieCeltic wrote:Do you really need “extra motivation” for an elimination game in the conference finals? So if Dray doesn’t say that, do they lose the game?

This is not new in sports, players seek extra motivation all the time in elimination game, playoff game, regular game, whatever. MJ was the best and ultra-competitive and he seeked extra motivation all the time, no matter where it came from. Bird & Magic did the same thing. It's common in sports.

UD has no chance lol. He doesn't even get any cardio these days. Even a slow dude like Draymond would run circles around him.

That's true. Only possible in garbage time and Kerr will take out everyone if it ever gets to UD getting on court

You're reaching. Nothing he said was a dig at the heat.

Exactly lol.

Shaq asked Draymond a question and Draymond tried to give his pick in the most professional way he could. I bet most people didn’t even see the video and assume that just because Draymond said something it had to be in a negative tone or intent.

Especially since he was LITERALLY ASKED TO MAKE A PICK.

Lmaoo just because Draymond is ratchet on the basketball court, people automatically assumes that he’s ghetto off the court when he speaks.

Draymond’s one of the more professional players when it comes to talking basketball, yet he gets asked to make a pick and people act like he turned into Patrick Beverly.

And Draymond couldn’t care less about who he faces in the Finals. The man had to go against LeBron 100 times and is in his hundredth Finals and people think he’s worried about the Celtics and Heat?

What’s with this hilarious myth that Haslem is some kind of tough guy enforcer?

He’s nothing but a coward who sits on a bench and yaps.

He's a bum and super annoying but he's just trying to ignite the fire in his team mates for game 7 at home.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

I'm getting tired of Haslem. Dude is a has been who is getting paid to be edgy of the bench. He wasn't even that good when he was in his prime. Great hustle player with rudimentary offense and hard nosed defense. He's been in a few too many macho displays the last few years. Time to end the schtick.

This is even more cringy that the original "broke the code" nonsense from Kerr, which is quite the achievement.
