He definitely should’ve never left and just made the warriors dynasty crazier than it is. It’s crazy he played in okc and moved to a great franchise and learned how a team should be run and how a team should play together, huge gamble by him, it’s not working out to well. He could’ve stayed in gs and just kept winning and people wouldn’t talk about him going to a 73 win team. Instead he left to try and win without a great franchise/team. Ah whatver, just a thing of beauty the gs franchise.

He played on a stacked team. That's how he thrives: when he plays on stacked teams.

Going forward, the pressure has now shifted completely to Durant. He now has to win another title or this discussion is going to continue.

I will never understand the bashing of Durant, isn't everyone's goal to win championships?

I dont think so

The Cavs were even better in 17

The Spurs were blowing out GS in game 1 with KD until Zaza...

Who knows what happens to the Cavs in 18 if Kyrie stays or what not

I think Lebron has another ring at least

Maybe GS wins 1 of the 2 though?

Warriors gave up A LOT of depth to get KD. Good chance that they would've been the best team again in 17 and 18. You probably can't get much better than 17 but by 18 things were already fracturing with KD.

In the end, the celtics made a mistake not getting some real bench players

Even someone like rondo and maybe another big could have won them one of the other games and kept then in this

Growing pains for tatum, happens almost to all of them

Soild trash. The same team that Stephen Curry and the Warriors was able to win against is the same team that swept Kevin Durant and the Nets in the 1st round. This strongly invalidates Kevin Durant 2017/18 title runs. Really just replace Kevin Durant with a very good starting cailber wing player, the Warriors would've won one if not both of these Championships he was apart of.

Literally Al horford could’ve joined that warriors team and they would’ve won 2 rings

At this point We not sure if Curry and the GSW just let him feel like he was important so they didn’t hurt his feelings...clearly they didn’t need him...Curry just beat the team easily that swept KD....
KD is aight...but he isn’t more important than than any other warrior that played next to Curry,Klay and Dray so

Except KD isn’t most of the league. He wants to be seen as one of the greatest players ever and he just got overshadowed by Steph. He’s not even 2nd to lebron of this generation. When he wants to be seen as better than lebron so bad lol. You know damn well he’ll be in his feelings tonight

He was always outshadowed by Steph.

I agree but he could’ve re written that narrative. I think after tonight, it’s the final nail.

Treasure because rings are hard to get. Just means KD rode Curry's cost tails

Of course he’s in his feelings tonight. He’s the most sensitive superstar I’ve ever seen. And just imagine how much more butthurt he’d be if never won a title which would have been the likely scenario if he never joined the Warriors. He’s still far better off with two rings than the complete and utter failure in his mind of never winning a title.

kd values them more than other people do. they're more important to him than anyone else.

i think the rings puts him higher on the chain by 2 or 3 spots, from great scorer to great scorer with two rings

but it's always been that way, it's just that people get caught up in the moment. how easy was it for people to forget what gsw was before kd.

i expect retaliatory tweets from kd soon

The most invalid sporting achievement of all time. Way worse than an athlete juiced to the gills ( no not a lebron reference)

You know one of the greater tragedies. It weakens curry’s achievements in those years too. Who knows what he could have done.

He’ll feel better knowing he won two rings but he’ll always know - although never say it publicly, that they weren’t “his” rings and that the warriors didn’t need him.

Why are people still butthurt over this? The point was to slap Lebron around in the Finals some. We did that and put the Cavs in their place. KD also had some unfinished business from 2012.

Oh I’m sure it’s just eating at him that Golden State won without him again. He’s never gonna live that down unless he manages to win one all on his own. I just think when you compare it against the likely scenario of never having winning a title, those rings actually mean something to him. Without those rings he’s in the Harden, CP3, Westbrook, Dame conversation of current superstars who’ve never won anything.

Curry was always the most important player over Durant, so in my book he was always the best player. Durant's a freak of nature athlete, but he can't hold a candle to Curry's intangibles (ie. leadership, spirit, and sacrifice to win).
