I would absolutely love to see what a practice run by Kryie looks like. He probably has the guys line up at the3 point line wearing blindfolds and "feeling out" their shot. Chanting "na na na na na na na na na... BE THE BALL" ala Ty Webb. Then after 30 minutes of wacky shooting drills, he has them meditate for a while, because you have to exercise your mind and your body equally or some ****, cause that dude is a **** lunatic.

Not many teams with cap space this offseason

You've got to think Kyrie opts in for 22/23 before the June 29 deadline

The Nets wouldn't have to take back any bad contracts (Westbrook) and Kyrie doesn't have to end up on a mediocre team (Wizards).

Who would the Nets want off the Clippers roster?

Morris, Kennard, Zubac and/or Mann?

I wouldn't want to trade much of anybody else- Jackson needs to stay because he is so close with PG. I would like to keep Powell, Covington, and Batum as well. I'd be reluctant to part with Kennard as he is such a great shooter.

I think the Clippers might be better off looking for a lower risk option (Kyrie could derail the chemistry of the team- he seems to do so everywhere he goes)- like trading some of the above mentioned guys for a decent point guard and/or big man

The Nets are a franchise that shouldn't be taken seriously. The fact that they're negotiating this considering how Kyrie torpedoed their season is laughable. He shouldn't be part of the team.

And right now I imagine many Brooklyn fans are thinking of another FG quote that they would like to apply to him - "Run, Kyrie Run!!! (away from here).

The clippers are likely to be a true title contender next year.Adding Kyrie would be a huge risk that you don't need to make.If I am the clippers,I would look elsewhere to improve the team instead of having a player in your team who has missed over 50% of his games for 3 years and who is not good on defense

I think Kyrie expect a 4 years max contract,so he will opt out for sure, the question will be if one team will offer him what he want?

Say Irving opts in, how long before Nets can trade him? Is this the right away situation or the six months later or what?

I'm thinking the same. It's probably the best move for both sides. He could recoup a lot of value just by playing an incident free season and hit FA with a lot more leverage than he has right now. I'm sure the Nets would love to get one more season out of him before having to make any decisions about the future too.

I don't think Thibs who requires max effort on every defensive possession and Kyrie would be a good fit!

Kyrie + whatever picks for LeBron.

Lakers get younger and goes away from LeBron's grip/GM powers.
Plus their current roster don't mesh well, they won't be going anywhere.

Nets win next 2 or 3.

WIn WIn for both teams.

Likely trade is Morris+Powell+Mann. Cap works if Kyrie opts into his player option, which he will. Nets get a 29 year old Powell who is a 20 ppg player under 30 that is locked up 3 more years. Mann is a nice young talent.

The best and simplest trade

1 for 1

Kyrie for Fox

Kings can play the ‘win now let’s make the playoffs’ game

Kyrie can do whatever the hell he wants playing for a franchise that nobody pays attention to

Fox can fit in well with a run and gun team with shooting

Kyrie was unhappy with Mike Brown in 2014!

And he was unhappy with Lue and Steven’s and Nash and whoever the hell his next head coach will be

*nothing* will make Kyrie happy so that shouldn’t factor into decision making. The only thing that matters is being able to convince Kyrie to do something in the short term.

Kyrie brought his shovel and dug himself a hole in the ground over the last half of a decade [over three teams...]. Now that it's hard to see the top, and he's still standing at the bottom, he needs someone to throw him a ladder.

The Nets just so happen to have a "do you wanna cooperate with us, Kyrie?" ladder, but it might not reach to where Kyrie's standing, and it's sadly not made of sage.

I wonder how likely it is he just hangs it up if he can't play with KD and/or in his "home" market (Nets or Knicks)?
