Most things Selfishplayer has said about European basketball, or most of Mirotic12 propoganda anyway.

Some people legitimately think that a 3-0 record is better than a 3-4 record.

This is by far the most ridiculous one & it’s parroted by people who actually have alot of influence in the basketball community.

The entire thunder board for years supporting Andre Roberson, who couldnt dribble a ball while guarded, attempt a shot off the dribble, and shot 25% on unguarded (like nobody considered closing out to him) 3's, largely from the corner. Also averaged 1apg in 30 minutes a night.

Made 0 sense to play a complete non treat/shooter next to a prime russell westbrook, whose main weakness was shooting and main strength in the halfcourt was getting to the rim and collapsing a defense. The whole board pretty much scoffed at the notion of spacing and how shooting was everything, preferring individual perimeter defense and screen setting. It didnt go well for OKC, KD left because of it and Roberson is now out of the league in his early 30s. Nobody plays guys remotely as limited as him offensively at all, let alone the 30mpg he was handed by OKC.

I'd also add "never won anything" when used to describe all players who never won a title. I have no idea how Hakeem Olajuwon blocking John Starks shot permanently makes Ewing a loser but for a lot of fans no ring = loser.

I remember hanging out in OKC threads years ago arguing with several members there about that Andre Roberson debacle. He was clearly a terrible player back then — should’ve never been getting 30mpg. Even ATG defenders like Tony Allen were getting 20-25mpg in their best years.

It’s absurd to me how unintelligent many basketball fans are when it comes to evaluating talent & team-fit — especially when it’s a squad they watch regularly.

I’m going through the same thing now on the Bucks board with several guys thinking we should trade Middleton for Rudy Gobert or DeAndre Ayton.

They were so smug about it too, and now ban me from their board if I try to discuss it (at least when Tbolt was the mod). So pathetic. That board has fallen off dramatically during this rebuild they all clamored for too.

As for the bucks board….they didn’t notice them severely missing a perimeter player who could create his own? I like Ayton, but don’t see the need with Lopez already there much cheaper.

Haven't heard that one. If anything Lowry is underrated. He doesn't get the love he deserves. he was one of the best players of the 10's.

I wouldn't even go that far. And are you new here?? He gets waaaaaaay to much love here

I must be. I don't see a lot of Lowry love. He deserves it if he gets it. He was a great player for Toronto leading them to heights they hadn't dreamed of in the first 20 years of their franchise.
