East is too tough this year for me to expect this Knicks team to be any higher than 9th or 10th as a best case scenario.

Clearly you’re not someone who has critical thinking skills when you take into consideration that Jalen earned his spot on the Mavs. And good thing you ain’t an NBA expert because you’d lose out on a top PG on a fairly cheap deal when you compare other point guards who make more.

Watch the game before you make an opinion fool

Hahaha, I watched him for years. He's a nice player, could be an important piece on a championship team. And the Mavs made a mistake not giving him 55mil or whatever it was (I said so at the time), but maybe you should settle down a bit.

Last year they started hot as well, winning 5 of their first 6 matches. How did that turn out?

Better to wait and see

Too early anyway but how exactly are the Knicks "led" by Brunson?

Barret and Randle have more FGA and higher usage

Randle (and Toppin' in limited time off the bench) have been their best players

in what ways is he "leading" them?

If they have a Top 3 defense like they did two years ago, then they should be in the same tier of Toronto, Atlanta, Cleveland, Nets.

It's extremely rare for a team with a Top 5 defense to not be in the playoffs. The league is stacked so maybe this is the year, but defense usually keeps you in most games.
Go Knicks!

It only took them 2 decades to achieve mediocrity? Remarkable!

This is (unintentionally?) one of the funniest things I have ever read on RealGM.

Based on these and multiple other posts like them from you, why post on the GB? Sounds like you want a pro-Knicks echo chamber of which I am certain plenty exist on the old interwebs, no? Like BingBong.com or whatever?

I never understand posters who post something and then attack literally every poster who doesn't agree 100% with their personal opinion. Do you not understand the very concept of a message board lol?

So rather than risk your wrath, Brunson is a bad man and go Knicks!

Definitely trolling. A real student of the game would know this is Hartenstein's team now.

Or we could just be reasonable for a change: brunson brings stability to the Knicks and makes his teammates better. We'll see what happens from there since we're only 3 games into the season. Not that difficult.

Rj needs to step it up before the Knicks are the real anything. I don't want to hear all that starting slow BS.

Knicks took the grizz to OT even with refs against them and beat the teams they were supposed to. They're off to a good start still early in the season but they're doing good.

Brunson must be damn good to be leading them when he's not even on the court LOL

They built a nice team without building around a superstar player. Not sure how they take the next step to compete against the elite teams in the east like Bucks or Celtics.

"The real deal"? After 3 games?

C'mon nephew, I ain't even a Knicks fan and I can't remember how many times they start off solid and then jump ship before December comes around.

There's something about bad teams and wanting to prove doubters wrong, which leads them to start off hot, which then leads to them cool off once all the adrenaline of the start of the season is gone, and then they go back to the arithmetical mean in about a month or so.
Truth is on the side of the oppressed.

RandlesCornrows wrote:It’s pretty remarkable how far the Knicks have come the last two decades. It’s obviously just three games in, but the Knicks are playing sound, entertaining basketball. I ain’t ever know what it’s like to see have a true floor general run a squad for my team. But sheesh, he has Julius Randle looking extremely competent, RJ always starts off slow. Cam looks incredible. But Brunson has fit in like a glove and has everyone playing their normal role, instead of having Alec Burks, Randle, IQ, RJ play point guard anymore.

The old Knicks narrative has to change because the Knicks are practically 2-deep at every position with incredible chemistry, and a MUCH better constructed team. The Knicks are super entertaining, and are ran perfectly. I think the Knicks can surprise like when the Knicks traded for Rose and made the fourth seed. Now the Knicks have two point guards anyone would kill for.

Read on Twitter

You can see the kind of ball moment, and chemistry. Looks like the old Spurs movement out there. We ain’t used to this.

Anyone think the Knicks can surprise despite a very deep east? The top teams on paper in the east certainly have higher end talent, but if the Knicks make a playoff seed, it’ll be because the chemistry is off the damn charts, and loaded with depth from top to bottom.

As a Knicks fan, please STOP. Can we just have a normal quiet season with a legit point guard?

Please everyone else, just ignore the Knicks. Leave us alone.
