Yes Harden youre still the quitter.

Also Nash was terrible. They should have dropped him way sooner and the franchise would have had a very different trajectory.

All that said Harden-ball hasnt won a championship yet. Dude just putzes around and looks for his highlight reel passes.

Yeah because the Sixers are the epitome of a well run organization.

They have been a mess for years.

Harden quit because KD got injured and he didn't want to carry the load. Thats the truth.

Guy literally couldn't bother to be into shape and then quit as soon as KD got injured.

They should of won it the year Giannis purposely injured Kyrie. Remember they spanked them by 50 points in that series.

You're going to see things the way you're going to see them, just like I choose to see as Kobe telling the Lakers to do better at getting him help or trade him. So they did and that's that. The man had a no trade clause in his contract which he used to block some possible trades out. So clearly he didn't just want out of the Lakers, and when it comes down to it. They improved and won.

Harden on the other hand has had multiple great teammates and just can not win period so like I said before, I'm glad he hasn't won anything.

This is utterly wrong mate. Kobe wanted out but wanted to lakers to get fleeced in the process so he could join a stacked team. Specifically, for example, he tried to force his way to the bulls and he prevented the lakers from Getting Deng (who was a prized commodity at the time) so that he could play with him on the bulls but the lakers didn’t succumb to such tactics.

Yeah well I think you're utterly wrong about that Bulls team being stacked with him included. A really good team? sure, but not stacked. I do not think Kobe ever actually wanted to out but was simply using his no trade clause to his advantage to get them to do better or yes. By all means send him away if they could not do so.

"I knew people were going to talk and say, 'You quit' and all that stuff, but then the following summer, the other superstar there [Durant] wanted to leave. So it's like: Am I still the quitter?"

Uhm,... yes.

If I do something and someone else does the same thing afterwards, that doesn't change that I have done it.

I don't understand the logic.

Eh, not a good look James. KD requesting a trade a year later when the situation was MUCH different cannot be compared.

I wonder if he would've asked out, if Durant called Kyries ass out and they shipped him out when he had still somewhat of value left.

Think I'm gonna root for the Nets now since the Warriors are toast. I felt bad for the Nets owner Tsai and KD after the trade demands and all the **** they went through, to see them come back this fast as a legit contender is epic

I'm surprised he lasted that long with Kyrie being Kyrie and fans trying to storm the arena and junk like that

Edit: when I mean fans, I mean the guys who supported Kyrie's crusades. Real New Yorkers don't care about New Jersey

The Nets were a mess last year post Durant’s injury and before when they were atop the east; there was no structure and coaching was abysmal. But what’s interesting is this Harden piece is coming out at a time the Nets are finally playing well and cohesive and in a system. At the end of the day, Harden packed his bags and quit. Was the roster construction bad? YES, was Nash awful, YES, but he should have stepped up and never gave up. Had he stuck around, this team would be even better. I still am pissed the trio never got a fair shot but I’ll have to live with Simmons and hope our two stars can get this team over the hump.

Harden isnt a quitter. He knew his worth and he got himself out a bad situation. Can't be mad at that

Why shouldn't an athlete be able to leave a work environment he finds toxic for whatever reason, it's really non of our business. Move on be happy.

You can look for a new job without blatantly quitting on your current employer while still cashing their checks.

I think that comment would work better if, you know, Embiid asks out.

Right?

This is a guy who played FORTY SEVEN MINUTES in an elimination game against Milwaukee with A HAMSTRING TEAR.

Think about that.

Yes, he's still a quitter. That Durant wanted to leave happened later and does not retroactively change that he quit months prior. A Durant-Harden-Irving trio would still be a strong contender and Durant likely wouldn't have wanted to leave had Harden not quit.

To this day, I would still argue that Harden has a better chance of winning a ring playing with the Nets' Durant-Irving than playing with the Sixers' Embiid-Maxey. He quit and it's still the wrong decision.

Time will tell. But the guy 1) as I said above, the guy played 47 minites on a hamstring tear in an elimination game, and 2) played at an MVP level when KD was hurt and Kyrie was doing his ridiculous anti-vax ish. He just got tired of the dumpster-fire clown car and wanted out. He had enough insight as to the organization (which was amply covered and validated by the media from indisers) that he wanted out.

You many not like what he said, but the guy kept it 100. I think it is ridiculous to criticize Harden's commitment give what he played through against the Bucks in the playoffs. Right?
