I think the NBA will be a great league once Lebron retires

You can make the case that LeBron is the reason why the NBA went to crap during his era.

From player empowerment, to constantly holding a team hostage and making them compromise their assets for his own happiness, getting fans kicked out of games, always making everything about himself, constantly bringing in politics with the NBA, speaking out on things that are none of his business and without facts (reference: China comments) and just his overall condescending presence with how the league now treats star players with load management and players calling shots.

The NBA needs more Giannis types and less LeBron types. What say yawl?

Lebron was masking the league's problems. Right now teams/players are learning to game the system to the expense of the fans with load management, tanking, fishing for fouls, and just bizzare behavior (e.g. Morant) and Silver is running out of answers.

Lebron was one of the few you could count on to try and play every game, even when he wasn't 100%.

I never said he can't do it but he shaped what the NBA is like in the year 2023. If he never does this there is a chance KD doesn't do the same thing with the Warriors, or we never see KD and Kyrie team up on the Nets. To me LeBron's attitude towards Morey's comments on Hong Kong changed my view about him. From that point on he is just an top athlete to me, nothing more and nothing less. I couldn't give less of a F on what he says off the court, or about anything non-basketball really.

I don't think NBA will be a better place without him, if everyone can just ignore all the non-irrelevant stuff LeBron is promoting. No hate, just ignore him.
