Is he really, though?

What is the actual evidence besides fan votes for the all-stars?

I'd rather have Brunson and two dozen other PGs.

I mean...keep it up Kyrie. I keep betting on the money line against Dallas every game. You're doing a great job. Keep it up!

He probably would have done the same in LA. Problem with Kyrie is you can't have a 2nd player on the roster as good as Kyrie. Honestly, a place like the Rockets, Spurs, or Magic would work for him.

Kyrie definitely isn't the problem. He's having one of his best seasons. Problem with Dallas is defense.

And all he has to say is "I understand the frustration and we want to win too. We are dinged up and not playing as well as we want and should. We are going to keep fighting and hopefully turn things around."

It's just typical kyrie where he thinks he is paid $40m a year to put an orange ball into the basket. He doesn't seem to understand where the money comes from.

Kyrie Irving is being paid 40 million dollars to play like a superstar in the NBA. His teammate is one of the best players in the league. If you still aren’t winning, you are not playing up to your standards in some way.

You picked precisely the wrong example cause Kyrie was avoiding the shot at all costs and that's the main reason some people hate him.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Kyrie is right about fan boos being irrelevant in the grand scheme of things....but the attitude of "you think you can do better? Then replace me" is as petty/defensive as it gets coming from a pro athlete. Fans are booing for a reason....the oncourt product is dissatisfactory.

Regardless of where you are, the boos will continue regardless Kyrie if the play is poor, so......

Careful what you wish for is the moral of the story here. Pairing two ball dominant egotistical players was never a good idea

Kyrie hasn't been bad at all on the Mavs and does not deserve to be singled out but this was a bad take. The team has been struggling and couldn't even beat the Hornets at home. They've fallen from 4th to 11th, of course the fans are going to boo.

Basically the way Kyrie is acting is like, if I were to go to a reataurant and order a steak medium rare and it comes very well done, then after complaining the chef comes out and says "Well you're not the professional so what do you know?"

Well the good news for Dallas is they only have to deal with Irving for about another month before he's the Lakers problem.

Kyrie goes to a team and they instantly start underachieving…. I feel like this has happened before

Didn't expect Kyrie would have a negative impact with a new team right away.

Damn, the Kyrie cycle is fast these days. You used to get two years of relative peace before Kyrie started to go full Kyrie. Now you don't even get two months.

His presence is enough to bury the team, no amount sage on this planet can save the team he's playing for.

And Kyrie doesn’t contribute to that?

The value of a point guard who can stop the ball on defense can be seen in the Kings since Dec..

1st quarter Fox doesn’t care and the Kings are ranked 25th in defensive rating

4th quarter Fox locks in on defense and the Kings are 10th in defensive rating

Lol.

Luka is one of the worse defenders in the league. I would say that he's a bigger liability on defense.
