He was 82/83 FT% shooter last season already.

I'd go with 24.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 3.1apg, 3.2 bpg on 57.4TS%.

For the free throws, I'm betting on some rookie jitters

With regards to the blocks, there have been many years where the league leader in blocks has averaged under 3 per game. Gobert's career high for a season is 2.7 ; Kristaps Porzingis's career high is 2.4bpg. Anthony Davis's career high is 2.9.

Expecting VW to come in and beat all those guys' best marks is...optimistic.

Back in the day, the league leader was consistently over 3 and often between 4-5 blocks per game. The league has changed radically and there are a lot more 3s being taken and much more fluid offenses with bigs often stepping out. All of that makes it much more difficult to get high block numbers.

He blocks outside shots like they're layups. He's probably gonna average 3.5 bpg as a rookie.

I see less than 3 blocks. If he just blocks everything early in the season, guys will just dribble through the paint and pass it and/or stop taking jumpshots in his face

have u seen him play? he leaks out alot and still doesn't have to core strength, not like he's gonna play huge mins either so 11 RPG is pretty far fetched imo

JJJ had like 3 BPG last season, Wemby is gonna be swatting jumpers as well
no way a 7'4 player with his agility and timing is going to block just 2.5

my prediction for 30 mpg:

24 PPG, 8 Reb, 3.5 BLK, 1 STL

Yeah - that’s what I’m thinking too. Could be a dark horse for first team all NBA if the spurs make the playoffs

Don't get the sense he's going to be a good/focused rebounder at this early stage of his career, certainly not double digits.

19 ppg, 6 rpgs, 2.1 blk.

ROY and DPOY if he stays healthy.

Your rebound numbers are too high.

Kessler's blocks were at 3.2 per game once he was full time starter.

A lot of excessive numbers here, IMO. Blocks? Guys aren't going to keep trying to shoot jumpers over him, Wiggins learned that last night. And minutes? Pop's going to cultivate him like you would a delicate flower. At least until he bulks up a bit. I'd be surprised if he averaged much more than 25 mpg, especially if it's turning into a losing season. Now, a couple of years from now, when the Spurs are riding high, and he's a 3 or 4 year seasoned vet...whew, the sky's the limit.

Guys will eventually learn to stop shooting near him, but it's going to take some time. Players are going to have to learn their lesson the hard way. I expect his BPG numbers to be insane this year, maybe even a career high if he plays enough minutes.

25 mpg seems way too low to me, he's not coming off a major injury or anything.
