Actually I had to double check this one because I thought the answer was Adonal Foyle... turns out he almost made it, he had 492 blocks in 3 seasons (87 games, 5,6/game).

Sampson had 462 in 4 seasons.

This player, traded for one of the best players in NBA history, had a very memorable night on October 28th, 1973 and a night on December 28th, 1974 he'd like to forget. Who was he, and what happened during those two games?

Which NBA team(s) do you think made it through the season without a single ejection? Bonus if any of those teams ended up winning a title as a result of "good behavior."

Hmmm, Elmore Smith blocked 17 shots on October 28th 1973, which is the league record.

He was also traded for Kareem.

I have no idea what he did badly on December 28th, 1974. Any help?

I'm one of the best defenders of the 80s but people rarely discuss me now.

I'm named after one of the presidents of the United States.

Who am I?

BasketballReference has a daily trivia:
https://www.immaculategrid.com/basketball/mens/?utm_medium=sr_xsitet&utm_source=pfr&utm_campaign=2023_09_announcement_ig_bbr/

You have to guess an NBA player that played for each team that shares a box in the grid. You can play previous days too. I literally just discovered this while trying to research a trivia question I was pursuing.

I've posted this a few times before, but anyway:

Who had the longest NBA career in which he went to the Finals every season?

K.C. Jones?

Has to be a Celtic. I think Russell missed it once.

I hope I don't f*** this up and it's more than three, but if I remember it correctly: There are three players in NBA history (NBA only) who were All Stars for four different franchises. Who are the three guys?

Edit:
Technically you could make a case it's four. The fourth guys is Kevin Durant. He was traded before the All-Star Game last season, but he was voted in as a Net and in the East. So it will be four if KD gets in this year.

Good guess. But the year Russell missed the Finals was 1967, and KC still played that season.

Hm, than it's also not Sam Jones. So maybe not one of the 60s Celtics at all.

Or is it Heinsohn? He retired before 67, but without looking it up I'd say he missed one earlier.

Hmm.

Irving and Durant haven't yet, although that's in play for each of them this season.
Harden wasn't an all-star in OKC.
Westbrook surely wasn't an all-star after Washington, if he even was there.
Ray Allen surely stopped at 3, one great shot for Miami notwithstanding.
Shaq might still have been one in Phoenix, so I'll guess him. Edit: I got that one right.
Dennis Johnson only played for 3 teams.
I'll guess Vince Carter, since he was famously selected by fan voting even when he shouldn't have been. Edit: Actually, he stopped at 2.
But not TMac; I can think of only 3 plausible teams for him.
Similarly Marbury and Kidd. Ditto Barkley. Ditto Mutombo.
JImmy Butler hasn't been a consistent All-Star selection, so I'll guess he missed in one or both of Minny/Philly.
Kawhi, PG13 and LeBron are only on their 3rd teams each.

I'd say Chris Paul is one of them? He was an All Star for New Orleans and the Clippers as well as in his lone year for the Thunder and when he was with the Suns.

As a Celtics fan, I found the McAdoo one easy. :)

More precisely, it is well-known in Celtics lore that the Cs traded 3 FRPs for him, than shortly thereafter quasi-traded him to the PIstons in the deal that brought the pick they flipped for Parish/McHale.

well, looking at the question I immediately had in mind Russ, Iverson, Rose and Shaq, who bounced around in their post prime years.
Then going to 90s and 80s there aren't guys like that. jordon, Hakeem, Malone, Robinson, Chuck, Magic, Bird, Moses, Dr J, Kareem... Then immediately thought about McAdoo as he also even came to Italy at some point
