In order for counseling or therapy to work, you have to have self awareness which Draymond has zero of.

I think this "indefinitely" signals that the NBA and Silver are contemplating a VERY long suspension, and understand that this new approach may need to receive some form of agreement from the player's union.

So my guess is that the NBA wants to suspend Dray for the rest of the season and playoffs, but they need to make sure that the player's union is on board by including "counseling" and stuff like that to spin this as if it's focused on Dray's well-being.

That Warriors 2024 1st round draft pick the Blazers own is looking good. It’s top 4 protected though.

I jokingly said in the other thread that Kerr probably hasn't seen it before i saw his interview ....didn't really expect him to use that excuse again. This guy never sees Draymonds antics, is he ever paying attention go the court?

I honestly did not think Silver had the balls to do it.

Let him sit out the rest of the year and come back next year. This incident by itself wouldn't warrant that...but with EVERYTHING Draymond has done in his career and so far this year you have to do something drastic.

Kudos to Silver

I’d hold the kudos until we see how many games he actually sits and how much money he loses.

This kinda feels like a copout to me. Rather than just settling on a clear, lengthy, and highly warranted suspension period, they've essentially designed a form of discipline that allows Draymond to control his own fate by fulfilling some undefined set of conditions. It leaves room for the possibility that if he shows he's undergoing some form of counseling or therapy he can return within a few weeks. I think it would have been better for them to go all in and suspend him for 25 games so there's a clear understanding of what the consequences are.

Fair.

At least this is a good first step.

The Warriors should have done something first.

As a Warrior fan - GOOD.

I think Green should be suspended 10games minimum and max 15.

Warriors should host an open house town council where the fans get time to speak to Draymond. :30 seconds max and their mic can be muted if they go wild.

Well I'll be damned.

Silver finally grabbed his nuts (tiny ones) and threw them on a tiny table.

If they don’t go HARD on Green this time there very likely will be a Kermit Washington incident eventually and then the league will be in a whole lot of trouble.

"Indefinitely" means nothing.
He could come back in less than 10 games for all we know.
Give him 25 min

If the league doesn't come down hard on him the players need to handle it themselves.

"Counseling" aka a fraud interview with Jalen Rose. I bet the suspension ends up being shorter than people think. The first Morant suspension showed that the league doesn't really care. Silver just wants good PR.

Go to anger management class, come back act like you're a changed man.

Just suspend him for 20 games without pay. That money will hurt him more than taking a class imo.

He has a long track record. He slapped the hell out of a college kid at Michigan St. I can only imagine what he does behind closed doors…it’s probably some awful stuff tbh.
I don't think they want to "hurt" him. I think they want him to get help and show a change going forward.

Im all for mandatory therapy.
