Salary isn't close in that scenario.

I meant in lieu of 3 FRPs. Benedict plus 1 FRP. I wasn't taking out the filler salaries

Get out from the Bruce Brown contract. Let the Hield contract expire. Turn down the qualifying offer on Toppin. Nice.

Sign Siakam to big deal this summer. Sucks about the draft picks though.

The closest I can read on this trade would be:

IND gets Siakam and Porter Jr
for
TOR gets Brown, Toppin, Nwora, 2024 OKC 1st (worst of OKC, HOU, LAC or UTA), 2025 1st, 2027 1st (top 5 protected)

this trade looks much better for Pacers than Raptors as Raptors are not getting any young player with upside in return for an All-NBA level talent

3 1st for a guy on a expiring contract. Seems like a huge overpay unless he's gonna sign a extension.

In all honesty, OG is one of the most seamless fits in the league for a team as you can already tell.

I'd be a little surprise if its true. The Raptors don't typically leak things until the trade happens.

It'll be buddy instead of Brown.

Why? Pacers picks are all late firsts, we own a couple extra and they're late 1sts most likely.

Late 1sts rarely translate to anything in reality. If a team offered me to 20+ first round picks for Mathurin I'm saying no without hesitation, and I'm one of the Pacers fans who isn't as high on him.

In addition each player brought an additional 3000 clips with them. That’s 16000 clip from the Knicks synergy account!
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Hield, Toppin, Nwora doesn't work salary wise for just Pascal.

I like Hield, Toppin, Walker for PS and Temple.

Siakam isn't playing like an all-star anymore. He has completely transformed into a one-way player.

OG stopped playing defense for us too. The Pacers are about to go on a run I'm not too worried about siakam playing defense.

2 of these picks will likely be late picks in this years weak draft. The Pacers own a second 1st from (probably) the Clippers in addition to their own. Pacers also control all of their draft picks going forward.

So you’re likely only trading out of this years draft and 2026. Not terrible. The team has good depth and is already having trouble finding rotation minutes for last year’s 7th pick. They’re pretty much on record saying they don’t have room for more rookies at the moment.

On paper I see how 3 firsts seems like a lot but this deal makes way more sense for the Pacers than giving up our blue chip prospects (Mathurin/Walker) or even our “role player” type prospects like Nembhard/Jackson/Sheppard, etc… these guys are quality depth on cheap contracts moving forward. Trading the picks is more sensible in our situation, these will be late picks anyway.

I think the Pacers did pretty well because they didnt trade Nesmith. He's a key for them with Siakam now, even moreso than their younger prospects.

Lol people act like we didn’t sign the Brown contract to use in exactly this sort of deal. It’s a 2 year contract with a team option. It’s an expiring if you want or 2 seasons if you like the player. It’s meant to be a trade chip. Working out by design.
