I still standby if they didnt win it last year that Denver would have made a strong play for either Lillard or Kyrie. Both who are better than Murray

That was not the reason they lost. Porter was 3/12, KCP was 2/7, and they had nothing from their bench. Murray was 2/7 in the third, it was brutal.
Jokic took a couple too many 3s, but that wasn't the deciding factor in the game at all.
No Jokic being the best player in the world means he is held to a higher standard. He failed so he needs to take the responsibility of that defeat. Great game by the Twolves let’s not take anything from them. They played great.

They need to get another big that can rest Jokic/Gordon. They couldn't even give DeAndre Jordan a few minutes to rest Jokic. Makes no sense.

I'd still take MPJ bc he does his role right. Tobias has more skill and more is expected of himBlackThought wrote:MPJ is their version of Tobias Harris. Overpaid role player.

Re: Jokic's teammates failed him...AGAIN.
I watched the game.
Jokic's stats look good, but it was a bad game. Apparently 30 is the new 20.
The entire team sucked but Murray absolutely kept Denver in it during the first half.
No excuses here. Denver was not their best, and yes, that includes the supporting cast.
Get Jokic a reliable second star.

Is that why Curry and the Warriors begged KD to join them?
you forgot we got 2 without KD
I will never forget those 2 hospital rings, they're right up there with the in season tournament or 6th man rings in terms of value.
Funny enough, the 6th man on the team won Finals MVP for Curry's 1st ring. At least Jokic dominated his way to winning that trophy last season and isn't on the team that wins around 70% of their playoff games with their "main guy" missing.
Btw, Curry won 1 ring due to unprecedented amount of injuries before begging KD to join, wanna remind me how many has Jokic won so far?

Booth was way too overconfident that everything would be fine and guys would just develop when guys like Watson became unplayable and Jordan is old.

Naz Reid was getting by him like he had concrete sneakers, how is that his teammates fault?

I honestly just think it was a bad matchup.
Here's the right answer. To be successful against Denver, you need two 7+ footers down low to deal with Jokic and enough defensive length on the perimeter to bother Denver's swingmen. Let Murray do whatever he wants, limit Jokic, and restrict Gordon and MPJ.

0 according to your rule, have they beaten a 50 wins team even?

Re: Jokic's teammates failed him...AGAIN.
We can't look at this all in a vacuum. But Jamal Murray averaged 18.4 points on 18.4 shots, had two games where he shot like 3/18. But he had a calf injury. But this Nuggets team only made EIGHT FIELD GOALS outside of Jokic and Murray. Nuggets not named Jokic and Murray shot 8/28 from the floor. That's just astonishingly bad.

They played well. Jokic's team did not, Murray excepted (and he stank ass in the third). Jokic played very well. He did not come through with a legendary game. That's about all you can say about him. It's not the most remarkable part of that game at all.
