2024 NBA FINALS: #1 Boston Celtics vs #5 Dallas Mavericks (BOS leads 1-0)

Am I alone in thinking this is one of the most boring playoffs we've seen in awhile? Just curious, obviously everyone has different reasons to watch. But wow I think Dallas has a slight chance but I'm voting Celtics in every game the entire series without having to think too much about it. It's been like that the entire way in the East for me and while I didn't have Dallas reaching the finals and root for Luka I just can't see them winning it without being biased in my assessment. But I'd love to be wrong.

I guess we'll see how the first 2 or 3 games go! The West was a little more interesting but while Dallas obviously deserves to be here, I'm not sure if they are the best matchup for Boston out of the Western contending teams. I hope they can at least make Tatum and Brown with their crew earn this and make it interesting.

Boston to me has 2 guys who are legit top type talents in them backed by like 4 other players that are all borderline allstars in their role or even better. But I don't like Tatum and Brown for what I think seems like a lack of leadership and I guess "dog/killer" mentality so I am interested to see if they can change that perception. But meh....what a whack and brutal East run as of yet. I just want them to actually get challenged here at least. Luka and Kyrie gonna have to be insane which is possible. I just have a hard time seeing them win without Luka averaging like 40 and Irving 30ish.

At least there are some good storylines like KP and Irving facing their old teams but if its not a good series that won't matter. If Boston doesn't get this done it will be hilarious tbh. Go Mavs!

Finally here. The finals just has a different energy than the rest of the playoffs. It's frighteningly calm and tense most of the game, and usually the rhythm is all weird. I love it.
