30 mil per for a backup center? Or do they except one of him or Chet to slide to the 4? Cus that seems like a misstep

Good for Hartenstein. Get your money.

As others have said, the Thunder are looking pretty snazzy.

Is he going to start? If so, I hope Chet has expanded his game bc his looks will be a lot different.

I love Hartenstein for OKC but they couldn't get him on a 4 year term for that 87 Mill? He's about to make 29M per season, which is absurd loll.

Wow.

I’m a big fan of IH, but even in the “new economy,” it seems like a lot.

Perfect fit in OKC. Thunder can play big now or play five out with Chet at the 5. This isn’t even the Caruso wrinkle into account, seesh.

This is a steal if anything.

$30M/yr is a steal for Hartenstein?

Valaciunas just got paid $10M/yr. Hartenstein is not $20M/yr better than JV.

Yeah, he definitely is.

NYK looking very small on paper right now. Why are they holding on to Randle? Robinson cannot stay healthy and Randle makes no sense

And Robert Williams had like the best PER of all time. Do you think he's a top 10-15 player in the league?

It's a lot of money per year but Hartenstein is one of those players who does so much more than the box score or his average stats dictate, he is always in the right spots, makes good passes, has a really good short range jumpshot and is egoless. Presti knows what he is doing here.

You think there's a market for either Randle or Robinson?

Impact wise I think he’s top 20 yes. He also plugs every hole on the Thunder they had. Defense and rebounding juggernaut per minute, elite passing big. This team with him and Caruso has zero weakness now. On either end of the floor. I’d slide Chet to PF and start Harteinstein though.

What transaction do you suggest?

Easy to say. Find someone locked in at his salary and talent level. Or even a combo of players who make NY a better team as a collective via fit.

I get the desire, but it’s really hard.

$30 million ? Not my money so I guess. Seems like an extreme overpay but of course that’s what it would take to get him out of NY.
