the biggest red flag to me is how complicated his contract and some years are non-guaranteed. even the front office doesnt believe in him.

you dont need to be a doctor to know one double whopper in each hand does not equate to a "balanced" diet.

Your weight is a choice, it is a lifestyle. It is what you eat it is that simple. The desire hasn’t been there for him consistently now. He is in the prime of his life. His metabolism is as high as it is going to be. Heck at his age, I could eat whatever I wanted and I would barely gain weight. It makes me wonder what he does outside of eating. I know there are genes that play a factor and who knows maybe thyroid issues but it takes a lot of calories for a big ass guy to gain weight. I look at nfl linemen who just lose weight by stop eating what they used to stay big in the nfl.

Not always.
there is people that have metabolic problems that do not allow them to not be fat no matter if they try to kill temselves of hunger.
But that is not HIS case, a person with a metabolic disorder as grave as mentioned does not become a pro player.
In his case is bad habits 100%

Have you seen what Zion looked like at Duke and the way he moved? He has access to world class trainers and nutritionist and keeps too much weight on, making him more prone to injury.
He also looked nothing like a normal basketball player...

Metabolism does not feed the body. Food does through calories. Eat healthy and balanced based on your calorie needs. Insulin can be a problem with weight gain but that also can be regulated with diet and exercise

He's a binge eater not just an eater. He's addicted to fast food.

He's a multimillionaire who eats the nutritional quality of a broke college student.

Would not suprise at all if his natural weight is more like 290+. Dude was 270-280 in College add on the maturity with age and there's the problem.
It's normal for guys to be 30/30+ pounds once they approach their middle age from high school.
He's gigantic everywhere he is the hulk in terms of weight distribution. Dudes neck is like the width of a tree trunk lol
If he doesn't like running, boxing or swimming (swimming is the best not close).
Just grab a road bike and clock in 40 miles every 2 days easy. It's up to him though.
Why on earth did they advise him to take weight loss drugs is beyond me. It didn't take care of the problems. I seen a couple guys gets hospitalised for it when they lost a heap of weight all of a sudden it wasn't healthy long term
On the other end of the spectrum Murray def cannot hold his natural weight on playstyle, Davis? and Porzingis on the bulk up? Nope. It's like I'm not asking Claxton to gain X about of muscle/pounds just because, Embiid still sucks at conditioning himself
Guys that have big ranges on weights that don't effect them as much if at all are few and far between. Example Bron and Roy Jones are the exceptions not the norm.
And privy to what believe most athletes and sportsmen do not I repeat do not keep in shape all year round
I truly believe NBA players don't have a great clue of how to go about things.

I understand people with metabolic problems have more trouble losing weight than normal folks.
BUT, isn't it impossible to gain weight if you burn more calories than you take in, regardless of any other factors? Weight, muscle, fat, don't just come from nowhere.
For a 6'8"ish dude to keep gaining weight, he's got to be consuming a monstrous amount of calories. He probably eats a ton of bad carbs.
With his money he could have a full time chef that could make awesome tasting low carb meals. Probably still eat what he wants on the weekends and still be in fabulous shape. He just don't give a ****, IMO.
