Cavs aren't trading any of the core 4.

I don't see LeBron as a fit on either end of the court for the Cavs. Not a knock down 3 point shooter and not a good point of attack defender.

The only way LeBron should be in CLE again is if he signs a 1 day contract to retire.

Cavs have the best record in the NBA, they don't need LeBron.

It makes sense only if the goal is to wreck the Cavs future to take on a way over the hill LeBron who probably can't be a two way player even if we limit him to 30mpg and he saves himself for the playoffs. Zero interest in giving up any of the big 4 for him.

Garland+Niang for LeBron+Bronny would be fine.

If anything it gives you a championship chance. Sure it means you're a few spots lower in 3-4 years but they'd be non-championship years anyway.

this thread is hilarious!

Any trade that sends LeBron to the Cavs would need matching salary and would strip Cleveland of what makes competitive.

I don't think Strauss, Levert, Tyson, and Niang plus a first kill them.

I think Laker fans though are delusional if they think they should or can get Garland for him. I mean dude is 40. He maybe has 1 prob a max of 2 years left. No team is trading a member of their core for him. Not to mention dude has a full no trade clause and controls the entire process.

Its funny to me how some people still think 40 year old Lebron is some prize pig every team in the league would gut their roster to get. He's retiring next season people, its over

You can say that but he’s old as sh*t. If he won another ring it would definitely help his legacy.

That being said, I don’t see a path for that to happen. Boston will win again, regardless of any trades.

Yeah it would be amazing to see a lineup of Allen/Mobley/LeBron/Mitchell/Garland. Easily better than the Celtics starting 5. Cavs should pull the trigger if they can trade Levert plus salary fillers and a 1st for Bron.

I could see him wanting to play with Curry on the Warriors....he just wants to be the center of attention and joining the Warriors would accomplish that.

lebron does not go anywhere unless he SAYS he wants to, therefore leaving the lakers would be all on him, no one else

if lebron goes to say gsw to hook up with curry or any such situation it would be such a ring chasing move that it would expose him for the mercenary that he is. he wants to retire as a laker so that his jersey gets hung with west, baylor, kareem, kobe, and magic.

if he leaves for gsw all bets are off and his jersey doesn't get hung if jeannie perceives his leaving as a slap on the lakers. lebron has to fall on the sword for this cr@ppy laker team to prove himself

the only other team to go to would be the cavs because he would be finishing his career where it started. he would be going home. it is the only way to go to a contender without causing ire from the lakers

but what if the lakers demand mobley and garland?

Lebron will never ask for a trade away from the Lakers, he wants to set up his post playing, movie making and political movement here in Hollywood, whilst waiting for Las Vegas to come into the NBA so he can buy a share of them too.

I honestly feel he is not fussed anymore about winning another chip or not, just is setting himself for his post NBA career.

Lebron will still be a significant figure in our lives for years/decades to come

This. I don't know why people still think LeBron's priority is winning championships. Playing with Bronny was the last thing to check off his bucket list. He's accumulating stats, and setting up his post playing career. He's earned that right, but he's not leaving Los Angeles.

His contract makes salary matching pretty much impossible any way. It's a moot point.

Let's be honest if LeBron demands a trade...

it would be to Shanghai Sharks.
He can average there triple double for the next 6-7 years while playing zero defence and sharing the court with his son/s.
It's also a perfect match from social/political point of view.
Let's do it.

No team should intelligently give up any value for Lebron. CLE giving up their best young player is a joke, 2 unprotected 1st is also a joke. They would get matching salaries and if they're lucky a 1st...hes 38 and anywhere he would consider going would probably be the only trading option with all the leverage

Of course that would do for LA, Cleveland on the other hand laugh the Lakers off the phone.

All I'm saying is he's linked to some other people who are facing some serious stuff. It is a possibility hes trying to say as little as possible and keep things quiet because he himself might be about to face or be contacted about certain sensitive issues.

He'd greatly increase the revenue for a number of non-contending teams. They'd give up something for him. Though he might as well do that for the Lakers.

For straight on-court value he's overpaid and teams pushing for a title aren't going to be interested.
