He was never the reason Portland couldn't get it done with Dame

Traiblazers were wasting their cap space on the Aminus and Meyers Leonards and Mo Harklesses paying then like they were two way elite players.

They were just one real player the whole time is the sad part. Shout to CJ. Fantasy gem for many seasons.

He was basically sent to Washington and then the Hawks expected to just fade away. I've always like C.J. and I'm glad to see him excelling with the Hawks and giving them that extra boost they needed. A lot of players like him get **** on because of their play style and flaws, but it goes to show once again, if you put these types of players on the right team with the right role and coaching, they can contribute to successful team.

i cannot emphasize enough how much i detest players like cj mccollum, although i like him as a person, seems like a really nice guy

My thoughts exactly. Super nice guy but he’s a playground chucker. Would dominate a 3 on 3 league though.

He has been an underrated player but perhaps rightfully so given his archetype. Cj just helps his teams win it seems. 8 straight years in the POs as the #2 behind dame, helping the pels of all teams make the POs and then helping these hawks become a credible threat. Just a good complimentary player who can create his own shots, is a quality shooter, and can play the point.

CJ was always going to be his best as a 6th man. I’ve been saying it for years. He needs the right backcourt partner to be a good starter but can be a great 6th man almost anywhere. He and Dame just didn’t work as a legitimate championship backcourt without serious complements to cover for their deficiencies.
Being a Blazer fan isn't exactly healthy.

List of 20ppg, no AS seasons. CJ is first with 10, while World B Free and Bernard King are next with 7
