definitely a good pickup last year for dallas... too bad they broke it all up because "luka is fat" and we can't see PJ on another meaningful run.

This is absolute facts.

It can be the most boring layup in the history of basketball and dude will be screaming like he just watched a walk off grandslam down 3 in the bottom of the 29th inning.

Whoa. Alright I’ll accept just about any criticism of the Hornets from the top down. Hating on Eric Collins is too far.
he deserves all the hate. Worst sports announcer ever. Can’t stand him.

This is probably the worst comment in the history of RealGM. Eric is thoughtful, funny, and very complimentary to opponents. He’s well-researched, makes connections quickly, and always sets the stage for the game quite well. He gets enthusiastic for some parts of the game but that’s just his style.

He loves the game and has fun doing it. You have no sense of joy in your life if you hate Eric Collins.

I am truly disgusted.

This is an unbelievably bad take. Please name a single time before new ownership took over that we've traded any player for a first round pick? We've now done that 3 times under new ownership (Terry, PJ, and Cody), and would have for Mark if not for unprecedented circumstances. You can't reasonably say this is just more of the same.

Ironically past seasons have had people complaining that the FO was to blame for not committing to a direction and being stuck on the treadmill. We finally get a FO with a clear direction that is attempting to accumulate and maximize assets and having a bad record in a season where having a mediocre record would lose us a first round pick, and it's being framed us just more of the same.

At a minimum, we have a much more discernible plan to keep guys like Melo and Mark healthy. That is very different then what we've seen in the past.

Salaun was like the youngest player selected in the whole draft right? There is still upside even if he needs some time to work on his game.

That’s all you need to know. Any and all trust was eroded with that move. They cannot evaluate talent.

Well there's your problem. You can not like a pick and still not ignore literally every other move we've made. It's not more of the same just because your dislike one move.

The Hornets play stupid basketball. Even bad teams look so composed relative to them.

LeMelo Ball is too stupid to be the leader of an NBA team. I don’t think you have to be particularly bright to be a superstar or anything like that, but you can’t be 3 standard deviations to the left on the intelligence scale

LeMelo has to be the most observably stupid star athlete I can ever remember.

If the Hornets win the lottery and jag Cooper Flagg, you would honestly have to consider trading Lamelo at this point and build around Coops and the superemluly talented Millwr imo

I think LaMelo can stabilize his health Curry style but maybe he needs new health advisors?

What did Curry do to fix his ankles, some fancy braces right
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

A team that lost coin flips for Chris Paul and Derrick Rose, and picked 2nd in the Dwight Howard, Anthony Davis and Victor Wembanyama drafts... and a team that had two ridiculously cheap owners in their history before this year. Pretty much explains the Hornets. I mean this thread doesn't exist if they won Wemby last year. They just can't get those lucky ping pong bounces like NO, Cleveland, San Antonio

We got all those future picks, great.

Who makes them? Who chooses the talent consisting of the future of our team?

The people who took TIDJANE SALAUN. Do you understand how our hope would be severely dampened by that?

I don't think it should be. I genuinely cannot understand discarding a FO and refusing to give them credit for any move they've made because you don't like their young draft pick and have decided when he's still 19 and not done with his rookie season that he's a failure.

I keep telling Hornets fans that trading Melo is a realistic possibility if we get Flagg. They are going to want to build around Flagg and they want him as the clear cut guy. That's not going to happen with Melo on the court.

Get some picks for Melo and build around Flag/Miller seems like the most likely outcome if we land the #1 pick.

Miller just tore a ligament in his shooting wrist.

He is a huge question mark going forward.

He is a failure. He will never, and I mean never, become a player worthy of the #6 overall pick.
