Did you get amazing odds early on in the season or did you just have a boat load of faith in Daniels?

No disrespect to Mobley, but Wemby didn't win because he didn't play the required amount of games. Had Victor not gotten injured, there would have been no contest in this year's DPOY.

I mean… I kind of figured that went without saying.

I mean... no? You literally wrote that you didn't think Mobley could ever win DPOY once Wemby entered the league. Mobley winning isn't exactly the surprise of the century, considering Wemby doesn't qualify this year.

It's like saying, "Wow, I didn't think Drummond could ever hit more three-pointers in a season than Steph Curry!"—in a season where Curry suffered a season-ending injury three minutes in.

If you meant to say that Mobley only won because Wemby got injured, you phrased it very awkwardly.

I didn't think I needed to spell it out... but yes, obviously Mobley only won because of Wemby's injury. I even said multiple times after Wemby got injured that he would've won it had it not been for his unfortunate blood clot.

The point is, I'm glad he was able to get one while Wemby was around. I wasn't expecting it once I saw how good he was.

Actually got it mid season prior to Wemby going down. I knew Daniels would lead the league in steals by a long way and if Wemby went down he’d shoot up with a chance. Was 126:1.

I did bet Dyson for steals leader at the start of the season at 41:1. I did this as he was easily top steals guy per 36 last year and knew he’d be starting this season. Won $2k on that

I thought there were a number of players who could have won it this year, but Evan Mobley was definitely one of them. He was my pick for a while, though he sort of took his foot off the gas pedal late in season.

Amen, Dyson, J.Dub, and Draymond were the other guys at the top of my list. JJJ, Camara, Gobert, and Dort also had amazing defensive seasons.

I had Daniels. Not a bad pick though.

Interesting thing about Mobley winning. His contract becomes a super max. Extra 44 million. Cavs going to be a mega taxpayer.

I’ve come around to the idea that there should be separate ones for bigs and perimeter players.

Tricky how exactly you definite those two terms though.

I'm thrilled Mobley is on my team, and think there are issues with the other candidates, but this wasn't Mobley's best season on the defensive end.

Daniels was my pick, but Mobley is a worthy winner.

Well deserved. Best player in his draft class.

You know, something I just thought of...

This is awesome and all, but doesn't this increase the amount of money Mobley makes now too?

I understand that it's not what people want, but I think Gobert could have won it.

I had Amen as my DPOY but Mobley was deserving also. Pretty tight race this season after Wemby went down. Glad Draymond couldn't campaign his way to winning it.
