The Lakers aren't trading Reaves unless it's for a Walker Kessler or Jarrett Allen type of center.

What about Lively?

Reaves is an expiring and I guess he'll test his market in FA if he leaves LA.
Rather trade Gaff + 2029 1st than Lively.

People are over rating how bad the Jrue contract is, it's only 3 years, you know he's still going to be a good shooter and All-Def team defender next year, and will be tradable in year 3 in a bigger package. They have no need for PJ any more, and have been trying to get off of Gaff since before the Luka trade. Jrue plays point when Ky is out, and moves to consummate 3D SG when he comes back. Compete with that roster for 2 years, and if it's not working, you have a 37 mil expirering, and hopefully something else to throw at a starter asking out on a longer deal, or in a 2 for 1.

Lively
AD- Martin
Cooper- Marshall
Jrue- Max- Hardey
Kyrie

Look to trade Klay and Hardy for another piece thats cheaper if you want to save money.

Hope for injury luck for 3 years, and if it's not working, you gave Flagg 3 years similar to Tatum's first 3 in the league, then you move on from all the vets and use your cap space and vets like Davis/Kyrie to hopefully get 1 more bluechip prospect next to Lively, Flagg, and Christie.

Honestly, this all sounds more than okay. However, do you think the Celtics would add a 1st rounder in this trade too? Because while I agree that Jrue's contract is not terrible at the moment, it certainly has a chance to become one sooner than later. And the Celtics get two very good players, and basically a 1st rounder in Omax, who could develop into a rotation player. I feel like the Celtics should put in a future 1st in this deal.

I don’t think the Celtics would include a first unless they are getting 100% Salary relief which is not likely. Maybe swap rights or a second. Jrue is still the best player on the trade.

If PJ is in the deal, I think Boston has to give up a future1st cause Mavs are eating a lot of future money.
Klay/Gaff/Hardy for Jrue makes more sense imho.

Oh, Hell no. That would just be unfair for the rest of the league, Boston getting 2 quality bigs for a "starting to look old" Jrue.

I certainly wouldn't do it from a Dallas perspective.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

somebody has to go a third team in that one. Or leave Hardy out of it.
Klay/ Gaff for Jrue seems the most realistic one imo.

Yeah Hardy or Prosper to a 3rd team.
Dallas needs to include one of them in any Jrue deal cause Klay+Gaff hardcap the Mavs at the 1st apron.

a healthy lonzo

by all accounts his health is working out. great D and unselfish to a fault. 42% in his last year before the injury. he'll give the mavs' centers the same gifts they were getting from luka. he passes the ball upcourt better than any guard today

he has also had a very unique impact on the way his teammates change....all the way back to UCLA

Tyus Jones does make a lot of sense, he fits a lot better than in PHX since his poor defense can be covered up by AD & Flagg

Take whichever pick you want. I'm just trying to get them out of Flagg's way lol.

Washington for Ivey
Or
Gafford 3 Team(Hawks?)
Powell WIZARDS
Smart MAVS
Or
Gafford/O-Max for Lonzo/J.Smith

I think/hope the Mavs' timeline has changed with the luck of the Draft...the Mavs should trade AD for young players that fit with Flagg, not add another veteran with a questionable contract and lose assets in the process.

Ask this again after the draft and you will have a lot more low cost and middle cost alternatives.

Smart and Brogdon are definitely available. If Harper or Edgecombe go to Charlotte... then what. Tre Mann has to go, don't know that they would ever trade Ball but. Sixers may consider trading Maxey. Raptors might move Quickly. FVV might be available. Utah might... never mind Utah, you won't get anything fair.

No way we are giving up Gafford and PJ for a 35 year old Jrue Holiday.

I think Colin Sexton as a trade target or Brogdon as a free agent are the best two options.

The Bulls have a few that might end up on the market for the right deal.

1). Tre Jones (FA) - He was fantastic for the Bulls before he got hurt but probably not a great complimentary piece with Kyrie.
2). Lonzo Ball - By far the best fit for the Mavericks but still hasn't proven he can stay healthy.
3). Ayo Dosunmo - He would be a great acquisition for the Mavs but the Bulls won't give him up unless they were getting overs. Ayo has shown the ability to play PG for an extended stretch but also play off ball with scoring players.

1. That’s an overpay.

2. Dallas is about to be second apron I believe. This trade doesn’t work.
