With the injuries he has, especially the most recent one, he's essentially done as a full-time and MVP-level player. At BEST, he might be able to carve out a part-time role playing around 15-20 mins a game max.

22-8-3 60%true shooting, guaranteed even if he plays 25 minutes a game. embiid was less healthy than he will be next season, and still put up numbers close to this. his ability to draw fouls will ALWAYS decrease the level of defense he plays against in the regular season. hes not shooting 29 percent from 3 next year. he put crazy numbers against new york in the last playoffs. what we consider choking from him is still all star level. you might be right that he cant play more than, 20-25 minutes a game, but stopping embiid from getting his numbers efficently will be extraordinarily challenging, especially in the regular season.

Thanks for the illustration. Embiid's a flawed player, immature dude who makes bad decisions on court. But he's not actually out there trying to hurt people, you're thinking about like two plays from a 10-year career that get played over and over here to feed the basketball gossip crowd's demand. (And neither of them resulted in injury I think). Fans just like to hate people or decide they're terrible or whatever, and to be fair Embiid has sort of embraced that.

I guess it's possible but I'd bet against it. Injuries don't get better when you age.

He's only 31 though. If he can stay healthy for 60-70 games, he should be top 10.

Nevermind seems SGA is that guy. Jokic fans gotta find someone to hate. SGA winning MVP makes him the next target.

People just dislike Embiid in general because he was the new Harden. Has an ugly game, crappy attitude and doesn't show up in the playoffs or when it counts and does not take accountability.

Not only is this the opposite to guys like Jokic and SGA, these are qualities that people don't generally like.

Don't get me wrong, im sure there will be fanboys who may pick and choose between SGA or Jokic but Embiid overall (when you think of playoff success) just isn't on this level to warrant anyone hating on him to glaze their favorite player.

I think he can resume being a guy who gets 50 points and 20 rebounds in multiple games during the season. He's also likely to get injured, not play 60 games in a season and depending on the timing of what injury he ends up with, may not see the playoffs. It would be great if he could break the pattern of his entire career but his track record is what it is.

Crazy since Embiid never had 50 points and 20 rebounds game. In fact Embiid has only 7 20 rebound games of his career. I just want a fully healthy season for Embiid.

Not a top 10 player but I think he can still be the 2nd best player on a title team. The problem is Philly doesn't have a #1 who could also be a workhorse and lessened the load on Embiid. For the Sixers the year to tank might be next year because apparently Dybantsa is that good.
