There might have been some truth to that Jerry Jones exception back in the 90's, but since then...not so much.

It's been 30 years (with zero super bowl appearances) since Jones and the Cowpokes won those titles.

So he’s going to go full Ishbia. You never go full Ishbia. What did Suns fans do to deserve this kind of torture?

Some might call this Sarver's revenge. I call it the curse of Colangelo. He should have never sold the franchise. They were respectable for decades with him as the big dog.

I'm a Houston Texans fan  . That was 100% tongue in cheek. Jerry can be as involved as he wants with the cowgirls.

Dunno, Him literally lowballing Joe Johnson in the end cost you guys a championship

ironically Ishbia may have done the same trading any flexibility and every asset for Bradley Beal, then the last crumbs to get off Nurkic

Laker's owner, Jerry Buss was a hands on owner. But he had Jerry West as a GM and consultant.

There was never truth to that

Jimmie Johnson came up with the Hershel Walker trade and rebuilt the Cowboys

They haven't been to a Super Bowl after Jones took over and Johnson's roster turned over

He's the new MJ. Meddling in team construction despite not having a clue what he's doing.

Odd that he's pretending that he hasn't been the key person in every transaction we've done since he arrived. We traded for KD almost immediately after he bought the team and then Beal. Both of them have Ishbia written all over them. God I hate this guy.

Immediately gutted a 64 win, NBA Finals team. For what? I feel bad for Suns fans.

I thought it was a stupid idea to give up the farm for Durant considering his options were non-existent. I mean I would've just flipped Ayton+filler and a prospect + picks to get Claxton and Durant considering Ayton was checked out mentally.

Then I realized that he was listening to Isiah Thomas one of the most horrific basketball minds out there when it comes to building teams. The only way to get those dudes out is if Ishbia is exposed as Sterling 2.0, but he's too spineless for that. It disturbs me that IT is still involved with the NBA after the sexual harassment lawsuit that painted a black eye on MSG and Dolan, but they allowed Sterling to be an NBA owner for 3.5 decades despite knowing full well what kind of person he truly was.

To paraphrase Bill Walton(RIP) on Sterling "the checks bounced higher than the basketballs".

I don't know what kind of psychedelic substances Ishbia takes, but I want some too.

There’s no expert who would have traded for a Bradley Beal who makes 57 mil with a NTC. Mat Ishbia is like the casual fan who thinks guys that score a lot with flashy moves are the best players.

They also treat Devin Booker like he’s Giannis or something. Booker is closer to CJ McCollum than the top 10.

Yeah Jones got one more title after Johnson left. But it was the same team Johnson built. Jones need to control everything means he only hires mediocre coaches who will obey him.

They recently lost their NHL team as well.

Really dark times for Phoenix sports fans and yeah I too feel rotten for them.

But Ishiba is the worst owner and makes Sarver look good.

Not only was Booker apparently allowed to make input in team movements and personnel but he was interviewing coaches.

Booker is the problem for the Suns. He's a deluxe Kevin Martin being treated like Kobe.

Could be worst. You could have Jeremy Lamb running your team in the shadows lol

Did MJ really meddle or was he just guilty of hiring incompetent people(that's not any good either)? It's always funny how the national media just basically acted like Jordan's tenure as owner didn't exist because everyone was afraid to criticize the patron saint of basketball.

And I mean, James Jones beforehand pretty much nailed enough decisions to get you guys into the finals, If you want to do the "Oh Luka/Shai were better picks" Nobody would of passed up Ayton at pick 1 and Bridges was a good pick for pick 10, Made all the right moves, to be sidelined once Ishbia came in and then gets let go when the Beal trade is a disaster

I dont ultimately hate the KD trade but it didnt work out, every other move after has been nuts. Like You knew there was no upside nuts.
