Really good move by the Wizards. I have no idea why Milwaukee wasn’t all over this.

Allegedly?
He takes 18 shots per 36 and has 82 CAREER assists. The guy is the definition of a chucker.
Oh, and his efficiency stinks.
I have never understood the weird love affair with this guy. he sucks.

They're gonna regret this trade all the same though. Cam could be an all star down the line.
Without a significant attitude adjustment, this isn't going to happen. If he just showed the willingness to be coached like Amen, Jabari, Eason and Sengun, he would still be there. It's not going to be easier in Washington to get minutes.
Vets: McCollum, Middleton, Smart, Kispert
Young: Coulibaly, Johnson, George, Riley, Champagnie
He better get his mind right or it's over.

Love this dude. He’s a physical freak and I have never seen anyone dominate SL like Cam did a couple years ago. I’m thinking he will start at Washington and put up 20 ppg
Praying for Burrow

Re: Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards
Not many of you commenting have seen this guy play for full games.
He doesn't seem coachable at all. A bigger Cam Thomas type. He gets the ball, it almost NEVER leaves his hands again. Type to think BBall is 1 v 5.
No matter how talented he may seem at first glance, this is not a guy you want in a team looking to win and play team play.
But still, the assets you got for him is really weak. Even if he is extension eligible next summer, you will likely let him walk cuz he will ask for alot.

Gonna need 20 shots to do it, though, and why would the Wizards play him ahead of Bilal? Or Champagnie, for that matter?

I’ve seen him many times. Hes an alpha version of Dillon brooks with offense

I don't think I have ever seen a worse comparison.
He is a worse version of Cam Thomas, who is another horribly overrated NBA player.

Gonna need somebody to put up points on that team. They can't just field a roster of pass first guys.
Tre Johnson and now Cam are great starts.

You clearly didn't see him play then

They will need people to take shots, sure, but McCollum will score 20+ again, and Cam will still likely be fighting for minutes with Bilal. They might look to expand his role, and Sarr's. We don't know how they'll use Tre, etc.
It just... and they have to know that Cam isn't a good scorer, so using him to run up shots (especially with his weak playmaking), it doesn't actually sound like it'll do them any favors relative to their O this past season. Like, why bother? Just give the shots to someone else and see what happens.

I wouldnt say his efficiency stinks. 45%/35%/70% for his career is slightly higher than league average

It's not surprising. He doesn't like to pass the ball.

But actually, he's posted 56.1% under 58.0% and 54.9% under 57.6% TS in his first two seasons, both of which suck. He's been a -19.9 and -23.9 TSAdd guy, 97 and 95 TS+.
He's most certainly not above league-average efficiency. Oh, and he's 95 2P+ and 99 3P+, meaning he's actually below league-average in the raw percentages as well. And I don't need to tell you that he sucked at the line for a perimeter guy (96 FT+), and wasn't drawing fouls at all (74 FTr+, .179 FTr).

Re: Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards
I think they should have gotten more, but he wanted to go somewhere where he would play.
And he is from that area, so he went home.
A bad eastern team is better than a western contender if he breaks out.
Udoka was never going to play him.

He might've started on the Bucks

It's probably harder to move Sheppard because he'll make $10.6m this year.
