So I would say he didn't do anything unethical, but a very stupid risk to take.

wait he wasnt even running the game, just playing in it?

what a stupid waste of taxpayer dollars from Ka$h Patel and the FBI

FBI is busting the guy for taking rake in home poker game. I thought they were busy trying not to release the Epstein List (for reasons).
I mean its dumb for Billups to do this, but man Portland can't catch a break from the Feds ;)

Idk not really surprising, a lot of people love gambling. I work with a few boomers and every single one of them is addicted to going to the casino every weekend. Would've been bad if he was Bett on games he coached

What makes a poker game illegal in the US?

Is anyone surprised. What would be surprising is if these are the only individuals that will be arrested.....
I'm so tired of the typical......

If you read the ABC news release closely it's highly probable that it's the same MAFIA which ran the poker games also did the betting scheme with Rozier.

You willing to give Billups the benefit of the doubt? For me the answer is f no anyone even tied tangentially to this **** has got to go.

Of course the Mafia was involved. Always knew something was fishy about the 2004 finals - the sheer lack of calls for Kobe compared to Billups/Rip. Now it’s starting to make sense.

Chauncey just ended his basketball career. Sucks and also insane for Blazers to lose their head coach like this 1 game into the season.

I bet (hahaha) it was quite a common practice among players and staff just a decade ago. With the chances of getting caught were slim to none.

Always knew John Hollingers of the world was bad for the sport.

This could be another inside information leak case, which is still illegal, but I do not think it is the same at all as fixing sports scores in illegal bets. I think some people just didn't caught up with the facts that inside information leak could get you in jail now because of these betting agencies.

Against FBI?`I love coping in this post that it's fine to be illegal as long as some shady company says they take care of it.

Thanks.

So are even the players in these games are criminally liable, not just the organizers who take the rake? Or am I misunderstanding the situation?

FBI Credibility is Dead. Trump wants to go after the Blazers after declaring our totally safe city a warzone and losing the conversation.

Just watch.
