Yeah... I once heard this slang phrase from a Colombian. It was like "picking the fruit from the top of the tree," or something (but not that), and I did a deep dive into its meaning. I kid you not, the exact same phrase had like 8 completely different meanings in different regions, some of which were within the same country. Ever since then, I've been kind of "afraid" of Spanish.

I was wrong about Nets broadcasters tho, I wrote it off to American ignorance a bit too quickly  sorry about that.

If your center can't shoot you're in for a very rough night against the Spurs. If you can't get Wemby out of the lane he's going to completely shut down the paint.

Little fun story that has nothing to do with NBA, but since we are talking about the name Jordi...

Saint Jordi is the patron saint of Catalunya. Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff played in Barcelona in the 70s. During the time of the Franco regime, Catalan symbols, flags, language etc. were banned, so you also weren't allowed to name your son Jordi when you lived in Barcelona. Cruyff's wife gave birth to their son back in Amsterdam and Johan and his wife named him Jordi and registered him in the Netherlands. When he came back to Barcelona he announced to Spanish authorities that his son's name is Jordi. When they told him at first that this was problematic he was said to have said something like "What the **** are you talking about. That's his name. Here's the birth certificate."

And that's how Johan Cruyff brought down General Franco... (not exactly what happened, but still)

What are the odds on Victor MVP, because I feel it is a good bet, or maybe not anymore, cause man those betting odds must be dropping...

Dylan Harper is +32 at halftime :D :D

He’s a much better playmaker and facilitator than I tj thought. For some reason I had him in my mind as a more score first guard. But he looks soo good controlling and setting the pace and always making the right plays

I googled name Jordi 15 minutes ago when we were trying to figure out how to pronounce Fernandez name, and first guy that comes to my google search, is not Jordi Alba or Jordi Fernendez or anything, but some Spanish porn star guy

MPJ gets to score 23 per night with no expectations of winning. I know my man is loving life right now.

I can easily see this Spurs team winning near 50 games and being a Top 4 or 5 or seed this year. What an insane jump from last year's team. They're basically OKC a few years ago when they started building something.

The question is, who was their Pokusevski? People might say Mamu, but Mamu is damn good, I will not allow that.

My preseason guesses were 1) SGA and 2) Wemby. If you can bet those two at better than 50/50, that might be solid.

EDIT: i.e., I would take them together over the field.

Hugo Gonzalez is gonna rack up the all-defensive honors, mark my words.

His instincts are already elite at 19.

I Know there is plenty of time, but it is hard to iamgine these players succeeding, NBA now put the ball in super scorers hands, and even guy like Giddey can score a bit. Demin and Saraf not sure can do that.

P.S. Victor 5x5 watch is on (18/8/2/2/4 so far)

IMO they were hoping to land Fears but he was taken one spot ahead so their entire draft plan was cooked

That would be funny if true.

The Bucks should be trying to get Cam Thomas.
