Walton is right though..not that the coaches hate Baron, but when it came to making a decision between him and Roy. It was either Roy, the new up and coming player, unselfish playmaker who doesnt take bad shots and looks like a good kid..or Baron, the guy thats been in the league for a while, and also a guy that chooses to take 30 footers ealry in the shot clock.
Im just saying what the coaches might have had in mind. i dont agre with nothing of that .. im just saying the perception that the coaches might have of these players. I think Davis should of made it.

Please explain to me how he's playing better than Davis?
Baron: 22 ppg/5 rpg/8 apg/2.5 spg
Roy: 19 ppg/4.5 rpg/6 apg/1 spg
And the Warriors have a better record than the Blazers to boot.

Not to be fair, this wasn't the case until VERY recently. Plus, GS has played 2 more games than Portland up to this point and both teams are tied in the loss column.
I'm not gonna touch this in terms of pure statistics, because clearly Baron has put up better numbers. All I'll say about that this happens every year.

Then again, we have no idea who the wildcards even were, do we?
Joe Johnson and Antawn Jamison. When TNT announced the reserves they announced them as the 5 reserves and then the two wildcards.
East Picks in order of announcement:
C: Chris Bosh
F: Caron Butler
F: Paul Pierce
G: Chauncey Billups
G: Rip Hamilton
WC: Joe Johnson
WC: Antawn Jamison
West picks in order(IIRC) of announcement:
G: Steve Nash
G: Chris Paul
F: Dirk Nowitzki
F: Carlos Boozer
C: Amare Stoudemire
WC: Brandon Roy
WC: David West

Roy is much more efficient, and a better defender. Besides, the Warriors play at a much faster pace. If you adjusted for pace, I bet Roy would match Davis' offensive numbers. It's also misleading to look just at the records. The Blazers started off 5-10, and have been much better than that lately.

Yeah but Portland had had a lot more HOME games than Golden State, and won most of their games at home while they did a little poorly on the ROAD. Had they played as many road games as Golden State their record probably would have been worse than it is now. And Golden State has a winning road record too.

So what. Just because Roy takes less shots than Baron doesn't mean that he's better than him. If that's your logic, than that means that Brandon Roy is better than Kobe Bryant or any other star in the league that takes more shots. And if he was so efficient than he would have had numerous 45+ point games to take over games when his team needs some serious help to win games.
And yes you're right, it IS [b]MISLEADING to look at records. The Warriors started off the season 0-6, and ever since that 0-6 start we have won the 2nd most amount of games in the league, while Boston is first with 1 more win than us. And the Warriors are only 4.5 games behind that number 1 spot in the Western Conference, a 5-1 start to the season would easily made us the top team in the west right now.
And Blazers are 5-5 in their last 10 games while the Warriors are 7-3.

I'd just like to point out that the 2nd most amount of wins in the league since the bad start coincides with the return of Stephen Jackson.

Roy is NOT more efficient and the defensive difference isn't something significant.

Good, that means the Warriors have 2 All-Stars on their team. I'm not mad at Stephen Jackson not making it, because everyone knows that the NBA hates him. But for Baron to not make it while he's having a career year just because he's a "thug" is a slap to his beard.
Does this look like a THUG to you guys?

Doesn't matter that Jackson helped, even Dwyane Wade can't carry a whole team ALL BY HIMSELF. Everyone needs help on their team. I bet the Lakers would have even missed the playoffs if they never made that amazing deal for Pau Gasol. The loss of Andrew Bynum would have screwed them over.

Nah, Roy is a little more efficient though. He takes less shots and his FG% is a little better than Baron. Doesn't mean he's better though. There's a bunch of stars in the league like Kobe who take more shots than this guy, doesn't mean that Roy is better than them.

How can I argue with this wonderful logic?

Portland has a higher winning % since their 5-10 start than the Warriors do since their 0-6 one.

Roy's TS% is .4 more than Baron's and his eFG% is more than .2 Baron's. Still, Baron's other stats definitely put him ahead in the total efficiency department (check the PER).

baron should have thought about it when he left new orleans on bad terms with byron scott, like the personal trainer crap with magloire, sitting out game after game for minor injuries, etc.
then when we started 2-29 dan dickau played better than him
i think DX made the all-star game because the hornets won 9 in a row at the right time. they didn't lose until after the coaches' votes were into the league office.

you suck... whatever. dead subject... objectively, I don't see how anyone could select Roy when he's not even the MVP of his team. Nor is Mr. Bull Lamarcus Alderidge
