While the officiating was terrible in that game 7, I wouldn't blame it on that. Portland was still up 15 in the 4th, and went just god awful from the field.

Tired of hearing the Game 5 argument. If people are saying that Game 5 was suspect than I'll say Game 4 was suspect. Samaki Walker for 3 at the buzzer (halftime buzzer)? You can have Game 5, we'll take Games 4 and 6.

The Samaki Walker shot was an example of referees making a mistake, the out of bounds call that led to the Bibby gm winner was another example of referees making a mistake. There was no intent. Some of the other games in that series may have been poorly reffed one way or the other, many games in many different series have been poorly reffed that favored someone. That's entirely different from having a game FIXED one way or the other.

Also look at this series between the lakers and celtics. In game one KG set about 25 moving screens none were called, I was counting. Then in game two, there are about 15 moving screens by KG and only one was called. As soon as the lakers need a win in game three down the stretch what play is called? KG for an illegal screen. You can't tell me they don't see those screens are illegal. It's almost like they let him do it, then when they need to make a call, they call it.

Hater. The RIDICULOUS level of contact the refs allowed for the Pistons and against the Lakers was the reason for the "handcheck rule". That was obviously the worst officiating ever.

Dounghy said the NBA made the series go 7 games. you guys are just assuming that means they allowed the Lakers to win game 6 when it probably refers to how Sactown was given game 3 and 5 to extend the series. They also allowed Vlade to flop instead of playing defense. No way the Kings should have taken one more than one or two games with fricken Vlade Divac guarding Shaq straight up.

The Spurs have no argument either. Yes, Barry was fouled. It was a TWO SHOT FOUL and they were down by three. They let Duncan travel and missed Fisher's shot hitting the rim.
That one call going their way doesn't change the series much at all. Even if they were able to hit the first free-throw, miss the second, get the rebound and put it back in... they still needed to win that game in overtime AND the next two games.

FYI, refs for game 6 of Lakers-Kings in 2002 were #27 Dick Bavetta, #16 Ted Bernhardt, #26 Bob Delaney. Would anyone be surprised if Bavetta and Delaney were not NBA's "company men"?

The two players that were ejected were Divac and Pollard, i.e. the two guys primarily on Shaq, who had 41 and 17 that game.

Free throw discrepencay doesn't mean that the game was poorly reffed. Often, one team is driving or cutting to the hoop much more frequently than the other team. Thus, resulting in more fouls. It does not necessarily mean the game was poorly officiated.

Although, free throw discrepencay is often a result of biased officiating. For example, the Kings/Lakers Game 6. That was clearly bias. Clearly. And it angers me to think that anyone else, besides the players, can decide a game. In fact, f*ck the NBA and their tactics. Us fans watch our teams all year, just to see them get screwed by the NBA? That's utter bull. No other sports league has this much controversy over the reffing, not even college basketball. But the NBA can't ref properly? And people are telling me that the officiating is not bias? Give me a break.

One more thing, I officialy hate Phil Jackson. For someone whose teams have historically gotten all the calls, he sure does whine about the reffing every chance he gets.
